Uh...Wlad didn't back out of anything. He's still open to a July meeting.

    Haye: "I'M DONE!"

    Exactly, especially the first reason.

hey'd also like them to bite people, assault women, be convicted for something that requires serving time, and probably say something racist to sell a fight like Bernard Hopkins & Shannon Briggs both do.

They'd also like them to fight for free, & stick their chins out so the opponents actually stand a chance.....................

Usually the same posters that complain about the Klitschkos are the same ones that will call you a racist because you are a fan of their's.

One again, for the less informed, Wlad accepted the terms & still wants to fight Haye as long as Wlad gets to fight Chisora while he waits for the date given by the TV companies involved. Haye is the one that said that's a deal breaker because he's trying to avoid honoring his WBA mandatory, Chagaev. Those are the facts, deal with it.

That I can agree on, even though I understand why they don't want to fight. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see it.

Oh please, don't be so naive..............:yep It has everything to do with race. 99.9% of the haters don't want to see a Heavyweight Champion who's white & from a former Soviet state.

Marketing is were the Klischkos **** up, they have yet to push there name out in the US, i mean they win fights, but they do nothing to put there name in the news. I know they deworm an feed africans but, in america that is not news worthy. It is not just being a thug, i mean people do know them from ocean 11, it is things like that, maybe try an get a cameo on a tv show, do for free, play a russian mob guy, there PR guys to me are just taking the german pie an being happy....They got there own promotion company, an if you watch there undercards, they all suck, one thing about DLH, before he came big, an he had great under-cards. If the brothers got the cable PPV, not using the internet BS there using now, got good undercards, guys like pirog, sturm, on there under card, an fight one fight a piece in america, i could see them having small, but profitable numbers....I think there is a market for euro boxers in america, an they fight 5 to 6 times a year bettween them, with constent great undercards, they good make some good money.

pirog, sturm, boystov, dimitrenko, huck, dzinziruk, these are few i could see bringing in a ok ppv numbers, placed against american an latin foes, this could be a good move for K2 promotions, they just need make undercards nice, an they good do OK, an then when a ppv like hayes comes around, they own the rights not HBO.....

I read you need 75,000 to break even, to me the brothers could do that..

I don't have a problem with either Klitschko frankly.. They have fought the best available challengers who will meet them in the ring, and have won all of their fights over the past 7 + years. I don't know who is to blame for Haye not fighting either of them, but on the surface it sounds a bit more like Haye's managment than the Klits, but I don't even want to touch that can of worms... As for them not facing each other, I can't hold it against two brothers for not meeting in the ring.. I know people would love to see that fight, but let's be real...It isn't happening... The only thing I can say against either man, is that they both had some losses earlier that went unavenged, but **** happens. They have redeemed themselves in my eyes, by going on impressive winning streaks and acquiring most of the titles...

    Disagree vehemently.

Larry Holmes was champion for 7 years and had 20 defenses and better opposition. His best wins were better than Wlad or Vitaly's best wins. He went through a 10 fight KO streak which was halted by Trevor Berbick when he was extended the distance. He wasn't liked or loved nor compared to Jack Johnson. He was disliked and there were some that were happy that Spinks lifted the crown from him.

Lennox Lewis was a promising fighter earlier in his career, he had a bump in the road with McCall just like Wlad had with Sanders/Purity and just like Vitaly had with Byrd but Lewis through his continued efforts began to slowly win over the public. He fought in America often and his team ensured that in America he made his name.

Both Wlad and Vitaly have already earned my respect and yes I realize I don't speak for everybody. But to garner further recognition:

Unify, Unify and for god sakes Unify.

There is nothing worse than explaining to the casual sports fan who the Heavyweight champion of the world is. Time was if you wanted to know who the Heavyweight Champ was it came down to 1 man.

Americans would have long exploited the brother vs brother fight a while back. Sharing the title does nobody any favors especially when the 2 best HW's in the world have no intention of fighting each other. I seriously hope that David Haye fights and beats Vitaly so that he can have a showdown with Wlad and we can have for the first time in 10 years and unified HW Champion.

The American public doesn't see enough of them since they always fight in Germany at odd times.

Vitaly was pumped up by HBO only to retire before he really took command of the title. Vitaly I blame more than Wlad. Vitaly had the chance to beat Lewis create the passing of the torch that would give him the win he needs to solidify his status as the Heavyweight Champion. He lost continued to rule alongside Chris Byrd and John Ruiz.

Wlad has a better chance at greatness and is currently in my top 20. But Wlad needs to hold the throne alone. HBO pumped him up as the next great heavyweight but losing to Corrie Sanders, Lamon Brewster and looking shaky against Davarryl Williamson all within a 1 1/2 year time span gave the network execs the impression that he's another Micheal Grant.

Wlad as long as he keeps winning will increase his stock but in order to expedite that he should step on the gas alot sooner. When a fighter looks like they are holding back the public notices and loses interest. This is precisely why Steward was trying to get Wlad to push the envelope in subsequent fights after beating Sultan in 12 1 sided rounds that did little to improve his stock. Wlad is far more capable than his performances indicate and so is Vitaly.

Remember Pacquaio and Hatton are shining examples of being non American Black but still a crossover success.

I respect them both alot, but 3 things that would earn them more fans are...

    1. Fight more often, even if against lesser opponents. Take fights with the likes of Toney and Tarver even if they are mismatches, and then knock them out within 3.

    2. Go for knockouts--see above. Avoid overly defensive fighters (eg Johnson, Rahman etc) unless they are mandatorys.

    3. Keep it clean. Don't diss your opponents personally. Don't talk about Chisora's Mom or girlfriend. Don't slag on Haye's character.
