It's still putting your life on the line and the chance is that you're going to suffer in one way or another later in life, if you're taking the shots that boxers do, especially at the top level.

so wait, if your not getting your brain mashed in, or elbowed in the face, or your shin kicked in half its not a sport?

There are contact sports, then there are non-contact sports. To say its not a sport is ridiculous.

Man in think he was paid that much because of a large turn out of fans and PPV in that area. And there s no problem with that. I know it was a disappointing fight but can you blame the boxers for getting paid like that? Blame it to the fans who bought that fight. But then again can you blame the hometown people watching their hometown "hero" fight?

No you are the stupid bum. You are the one sitting here saying that a man who puts it all on the line for your morbid entertainment is getting "paid too much". What is it taking out of your pocket? Nothing. You are just jealous like a woman.

No man gets paid more than he is worth. For every dollar that Mayweather, Pacquiao, etc... make there are millions more being distributed all over. Also, these men only have a limited time to make their money and are guaranteed brain damage while industry guys can make money forever and on multiple fights at once. You say it is "too much"?

You are a clown, but considering where you are from? What the hell could you know about money.

Plenty of people get paid more than they're worth... Bertoe being one of them for example. I have no problem with PBF or Pac making millions and millions... It's the younger guys who are lauded prospects that get overpaid and spoiled and dont have to work for their scrill... ruins fighters.

Nah, boxers should be paid more. Also, don't act like MMA fighters are some sort of special warriors or something. Some of them fight like bitches and some fight like warriors. Just like some boxers. But both of them deserve top dollar because it's tough going when you are by yourself against another person.

Every other sports athlete should be paid much less than any fighter whether it be in boxing or MMA.

No you cant. I dont wana go deep into that, Its just pisses me of that boxers fight (a lot of them) because of the money in the first place, where as i believe mma fighters fight to win, and thats why they should get a lot of respect and much more pay. Just look on youtube at best mmc/ufc fights, these guys suffer much more than boxers, where is justice ? :bbb

Im bigger boxing fan than mma, but im starting to realize that boxers only care about money..(from our pockets)

No. UFC (Your dumb ass really means MMA) fighters have the power of the organization (a league) where as Boxers are independent contractors. They have guaranteed income for sustained periods. They are also in a structure that could one day provide them with pensions and benefits like the NFL, NBA, MLB, or... other League type sports. Idiot.

So no, though I would be quite happy if they did, they should not get the same pay as Boxers. It is Apples to Oranges.

No. Nobody is paying him more than they are either making on him or plan to make on him. They will also leave his ass high and dry when they feel they can't make anything or anymore.

Lauding prospects is just investing. For every 10 prospects lauded, hyped, and money sunk into? 9 will go down in flames and red ink. It is the game.

Considering the contracts of the average top level fighter, minus the superstars, you sound a bit silly saying these guys are spoiled. Especially when compared to league minimum in other organized sports with much less risk of injury.
