:rofl:roflnutatsch You ******s can't give an insightful comment without letting your hate get the best out of you.... and you call yourselves "boxing fans"...****ing pathetic :verysad Sad, if they were arrogant african americans most of you would probably ride their dicks like there is no day tomorrow.:barf
:deal Well said. For me i don't see any version of Wlad, no matter what frame of mind he is in, going past five rounds with Lewis. And it really is that simple. Infact i would give Lennox a great chance of checking his chin now if he came out of retirement. Just saying!
Mercer was shot-to-****, 41 years old & a gassed heavybag against Wlad. Lennox beat Peak Mercer. Any Lewis stops any Wlad, it might be like the Grant fight. Wlad is better overall than Grant, but the point is he's the same size & no less fragile, so Lewis likely treats him the same, with brutal holding & hitting bombs in close quarters. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpdGFK_mqZI[/ame] Lennox is the ultimate destroyer of Superheavyweights.
The fact is, Wladimir today is even better. Composed, steady and solid defensively whereas he had defensive flaws back then. Back then, it would have been a gun slinging type a fight with Lennox, who knows? The first one to land solid could win.... I'm counting on Lewis experience to win him the fight. Wladimir of today, dare I say... would probably be able to beat Lewis.
There's absolutely NO comparing Wladimir to Grant, Wlad would take out his wood and **** all over Grant while knocking him down with a jab.
There is no question that Lewis would try to rush and amush Wlad and take him out early. I think if they got in the ring 10 times prime for prime, Lewis would win via devastating early TKO in approx. 2 of those fights. Once you allow Wlad hypothetically to survive the opening rounds the fight becomes interesting. Lewis tends to have a terrible workrate once and box in in spurts rather than apply consistent, increasing pressure. Wlad has a very consistent jab and can lay decent bombs from the outside. Highly interesting matchup as long as Wlad's chin holds up for more than a few minutes. I'd give Lewis an overall 6 wins vs 4 against Wlad out of 10 fights.
I'm 100% certain it would be a gunslinging type a fight, I don't think Lewis chin is iron, and I think Wladimir sure as hell has enough pop to stop him in his tracks. Lewis experience at that point would be enough most of the times, but Wladimir should realistically win something like 4/10.
If Waldimir hit Lewis with half the punch's he got hit with in this fight Lewis would be on lifesupport!!!
'Shot to ****' is a bit an overstatement.. Sure he was old and not in his prime but at the age of 36 against Lennox he wasn't spring chicken neither. Ray is an good example that not every boxer age with similar fashion. His fight against Lennox is much more draw than the first LL/Holyfield fight. -- After a controversial draw against Marion Wilson he would meet Evander Holyfield who was coming off a loss against Michael Moorer. This would turn out to be a very entertaining bout that would result in Ray Mercer being dropped for the first time in his career in the eighth round. It was a delayed reaction and it is the only time he has been down. Coming off a good showing against Holyfield, Mercer would lose a very close majority decision against Lennox Lewis. Many boxing insiders thought Mercer did enough to win but the judges didn't see it that way. -- Between Lennox and Wlad Mercer had: No loses 23 rounds (!) 1 decision (10 rounder) 5 of 7 ended inside 2 -- WLAD IS BAD!!!!!! KLITSCHKO DESTROYS RAY MERCER By Tom Vosicky The probable future Heavyweight Champion of the World put on a flawless display of brutal precision tonight in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Wladimir Klitschko (39-1, 36 KOs) gave Merciless Ray Mercer everything he could handle and more that he could not in a display of precision boxing rarely seen in the Heavyweight division. Admittedly, the target was stationary and offered little else than a stiff left jab, but the chin was solid enough and the will was there. Mercer, a very game fighter, had the overwhelming crowd support as he was sent to answer some serious questions about the GIANT Ukrainian. The crowd at the Trump Taj Mahal was electrified and heavily behind Mercer. Klitschko, as usual, appeared single minded and at ease throughout the fight. He erased a lot of doubts tonight when at 2:48 of the first round, Klitschko dropped Mercer with a Nuclear Powered left hook and amazingly Mercer got to his feet as though a Nuclear winter raged in his head and the round ended. That would have demolished most of today's Heavyweight Contenders. Dr. Klitschko continued administering the prescribed doses of pain by landing incredibly solid combinations of stiff left jabs, left hooks, and HARD straight right-hands flush to Mercer's chin all night leading up to the stoppage at 1:02 of the 6th round. Mercer had nothing to offer other than a few stiff jabs that made a small puffy area on the left eye of Klitschko. Excluding that, this was an absolutely one-sided match with a very game and solid veteran in Mercer. Klitschko landed (193 out of 429) punches to Mercer's (54 out of 124) punches (COMPUBOX). -- It took another three years and 5 fights before Mercer got stopped again. (Shannon Briggs/7thRd)
Look at the ROSS PURRITTY knockdown. Watch how Wladimir Klitscko went out like a weak little *****. Purrity just FEINTED at him, then Clinchko quivered to the canvas like a weak *****. :rofl The man likes to hit bums who don't have the tools to hit back. He has to be matched carefully against guys who lack the offensive tools to get to him. It's not his chin that's weak. It's his heart. His older brother has the intangibles that he'll never possess. Lewis would violate this man. Vitali is the one with the toughness, not his little brother.
Lewis was willing to take a shot, Wlad isn't. I like Wlad, but when people say he is a great H2H against any Heavyweight in history...he clearly isn't. Vitali is though.
