As the title says. As bad as Abraham has looked in recent fights (or as good as his opposition has), you can't deny that the guy has a strong resume against consecutive stiff opposition. Along with the likes of Froch & Bradley, Abraham is one of those who isn't obsessed with the politics and money behind boxing and just gets in there with whoever is placed in front of him. This is further endorsed by the fact that he's come up from middleweight to partake in this tournament, which is undoubedly the biggest leap in competition between weight classes there is right now.

Win or lose, the guys commitment and willingness demands respect. Fingers crossed he KO's Ward cold.

He's capable of doing it if he lands one of them monstrous left hookercuts.

The realistic choice is AW neutralizing his monster hooks by keeping his hands the **** up, which he will.

Ward cant help himself, he will be taking on Abraham on the inside and Abraham was beat twice but from the outside. Ward will hopefully go toe to toe and it will be one of the best fights of the year.

I hope he launches Ward's billygoat head into the cheap seats... but I won't hold my breath.

All you have to do with abraham is fight a careful smart fight mostly on the outside, hell even froch could do it with any problems

Not gonna happen, at least not under Wegner. It was pretty bad news already that Froch could deal with Arthur from the outside as AA needs space to set up his explosive punches plus likes to move opponents with his wide left hook into his short right hand, something Froch's movement prevented to happen, but once on the inside he'll have even less weapons unless he makes serious adjustments.

As one-sided as AA-Froch was - mainly because Abraham unwilling to take risks to turn it around which of course involved risks - he was able to catch Froch regularly with the jab which is something positive. But it's no good vs. Ward who quickly cuts down the ring and takes it up close, just ask Kessler. Given the size and physical build however, Arthur COULD be an effective inside fighter, but never was taught to be one, and that's what he needs now, badly.

So what can he do? He's still a strong mother****er, but needs a Nazim or someone to teach hand, head and shoulder positioning on the inside, fighting out of clinches, short punching, head butting (yes, illegal stuff too), applying effective physical pressure. He needs to work Ward's body, wrestle him to the ropes, get his hands free, use his physical superiority and bring intensity hoping Son of Grond will be beaten at his own game. Well that's a helluva task.

Abraham is a lot better than he showed lately but needs a complete change in the corner to prove it vs. Andre's anti-boxing style. You stand no chance without a solid inside game, and at the moment Arthur doesn't have one. Wegner must go.

I desperately hope to make love to Jennifer Lopez, but I have about as much chance as Abraham does .
In fact, it'll be Awful Arthur that gets ko'd.

I think Froch is being underrated here. It's not that, "It's so easy even Carl Froch can do it!" the reason he beat Abraham is because of skill and committment not to trade too much. I was impressed with Froch that night but I can't watch that fight again because of his harpy of a girlfriend. Ward made the Bika fight too hard by trying to beat Bika at his own game but though he did Ward still lost rounds in the process. He needs to look back at the Kessler fight and learn how to fight from mid range again and also outboxing range. Abraham was always limited and even Taylor for the first few rounds exposed that but Abraham still has the power like he showed against Taylor. Ward's chin is fine he's taken shots from Green, Kessler, and Miranda but he needs to fight from a distance and use his slick movements against Abrahams sloppy punches.

???? So if Abraham wins you get to have aggressive sex with J-Lo? In that case I hope you do if Abraham wins.

Potentially a good fight in the making, though if Ward can be self-disciplined & stay outside that's a proven winning gameplan against AA. If he wants to go toe-to-toe then Abraham has every chance of landing flush with a big shot.

I wonder what odds I can get on a DQ for this one?

This. If Ward fought Bika on the inside and actually played Bika's game (he had the tools to wash him out from outside range), then good SOG should stay at midrange against AA and reduce the workrate. Play AA's game. Eat hammers. Me no lose.

Seriously though, if hope AA gets angry in the fight. I want Ward's beard tested with above average power punches. Flush.

I hope Abraham does not win. Ward is up and coming. One fight I wanted to see was Abraham vs. Johnson.
