This would not have been easy for either guy. I think Vlad would give Lewis an awful lot of trouble. Eventually though, I think Lennox's superior strenth would've gotten through and he'd have stopped Vlad in the second half of the fight. I think it would have been a somewhat more decisive victory than Lewis-Vitali, in which Vitali looked great early, but Lennox "was busting him up" near the end. I think Lews beat Vitali fair and square, and would do the same to Vlad. But I think it's ridiculous when people say Vlad would've been easy for him, or Vlad would've been beaten easily by previous champs. I think both Klitschkos are on their ways to becoming ATGs. You watch....you're going to miss them when they're gone. And I say that as a non-fan who always roots against them.
That's the whole point. to hit lewis like that, you've got to be able to take the same back. Could Wlad do that? I think Wlad goes down before Lewis. He'll probably get up, but he'll keep going down.
I would say Lewis by mid/late TKO. The first few rounds would be more competitive than most people seem to think. Lewis is better than Wlad in almost every aspect, but Wlad does have a good jab, and has become quite effective at moving and controlling distance. Lewis TKO though
Agree. Wlad is technically sound now (thanks to Lewis old trainer) and has the one punch KO power to melt Lewis, who we know has been KO'ed by lesser punchers than Wlad. On top of that, Lewis sometimes showed up flabby and lazy. Wlad is always in top condition.
Wlad definitely is not, and Vitali is questionable 9 times out of 10 Prime Lewis beats Vitali 10 times out of 10 he destroys Wlad.
I don't think it's as clear cut as that, but on a whole I agree. Vitali certainly offers more H2H against the greats than Wlad does, in my opinion.
Funny that Lewis has one less lose then Wlad yet Wlad is chinny and Lewis has ATG chin. Take away one of those loses for Wlad when he was 23 and just got gassed.
So the current Peter II version of Wlad gets KOed in the first or second round, wow. Like Botha, Grant, Ruddock and Golota, right? Did you notice that these fighters are not half as good as Wlad? Remember how easily Lewis KTFOed Vita - no, wait...
Prime Lennox wouldn't beat random world level contenders like Bruno, Mercer, McCall or Rahman a clean 10 out of 10 times. Let alone Wlad or Vitali.
Oh dear.. You do know that Lewis didn't have winning streak of ten after the '94 loss to McCall? Or ten KO/TKO streak.. ever? Even when considering the very good quality of opponents Lewis faced; win over Wladimir 2002 or especially 2011 would rank very high on his resume.
