He beats anybody that ever lived at 147. Including SRL (even though he lost) and SRR. After 12 rounds, he was clearly ahead of Leonard. The last 3 rounds don't count. If that fight comes on ESPN classic, I'll still put money on Hearns to win by KO with whoever is sitting next to me.

    A prime fast welter.

Floyds career above 140 is so cushioned it is not even worth discussing.

    Ill take that bet ,

Ill have Leonard in the 14th.

Over 12 the fight would have been fought over a different pace so your point is mute.

Beating Margarito did nothing for his career at the time. He wanted bigger names like De La Hoya and Mosley. Margarito had no hype or following behind him. Only die hard fans new who he was. He didn't get popular until he beat Cotto. Its his fault for getting his ass kicked by Mosley and cheating or he may have been an option for Mayweather instead of Mosley that fight fans would have demanded to see.

Margarito and Cotto's claim to fame as boxers are not what they did in the ring but the Arum made belief that Mayweather ducked them. Which is why they are both overrated.

Are you seriously gonna tell me that nobody thought of Margarito as a "dangerous" opponent at the time? Boxers will always get credit for beating "dangerous" oppositions. Floyd knew he wouldn't be able to keep Marg off of him as he wouldn't be able to hurt him. Floyd knew it was going to be a dangerous fight. That's why this fight never happened. :deal

Bull****!!! Floyd's excuse for his first retirement was he had "no challenges" left. Cotto was an undefeated WW at the time. Spew out all the bull**** you want, but that won't change the fact that Floyd avoided all the tough fights at WW. Please don't bring up JMM or Mosley.

Someone who can fight Joe Calzaghe style. So basically, someone with supreme conditioning who will hit, hit, hit, ...................until the final bell. Floyd doesn't fight back when assaulted. He retreats into a shell and rides out the offense until his opponent tires. Attacking him continuously is the way to beat him.

I couldn't agree more and said such when Spinks was back in his prime and people laughed at me. He would have given PBF fits with his style.
