Let it be known, an on song Robin Reid can beat Bernard Hopkins on home soil and maybe lose a robbery on foreign soil. Those that respond to this with "WTF?", just remember the ****ing Eastman fight. Eastman was pretty **** in actuality and flattered to deceive with the whole enigmatic aka lazy card. Reid is broken now though, if he'd had any life left, he'd have stopped Froch with his sneaky right.
Nah Reid is a decent guy. My cousin knew a girl that went out with him (not one from his 'moddelling career'). Don't hink he would have had anything to do with the ice cream. I was actually more of a reid fan before Joe and he faught. It kind of past the torch for me and I switched to being a Joe fan. There was no doubt that Joe won for me though it wasn't a good display!!! Reid on his day could give a tough night for any super middle in history!!!
As I said on another forum, tickets will sell big time based solely on Robin being in this tournament. He has much respect from british boxing fans and for good reason. When Benn and Eubank walked away from the Supermiddles, Reid stepped up to the plate and,had he been consistent, would've been a British boxing great. He filled the void until Calzaghe took over basically and has many fans because of that. To me anyway, he is very similar to Jermain Taylor in both style (mover/jabber/punch picker) and career. Can't help thinking how great it would be though, being one off these 4-1 or 7-2 fighters in this tournament. Getting the chance to beat a 'faded' ex world champion like Reid so early as a pro would be gold dust to any man.
