billy has had some good results lately with ricky burns and john simpson and peter harrison had his son scott and had alex arthur fighting the best.

i would go for peter just because of his experience but if billy can keep progressing and keep his boys winning he could get the no 1 spot

so who would you rate as the best coach in scotland?

Wasnt Billy Peters 2nd in command?
No way to compare Coaches v each other. Depends on the Coach/Fighter fit.
I dont think Manny Steward or Freddie Roach are better than the other just different and suit different fighters better. I dont think Steward would have suited Pac, I dont think Roach fit with Wlad.

its hard to compare as it can really only clearly be considered if they both trained the same fighter at peak career and one improved him more than the other, Unlikely as that is, plus if good fighters are in your gym, its a big advantage, the sows ear and silk purse come to mind.

I'd go with Billy. If my nephew wanted to box and looked like he had potential I'd send him to billy. That's not to take anything away from Peter or any of the other UK coaches but I get a feeling that not only is Billy a top coach, he genuinely cares about his fighters and would always put their welfare first.
