A fighter that has a combination of speed, youth and power. Especially one with angles that can wrap around his philly guard. Southpaws give him trouble even though he never faced the top Southpaws in any weight class he fought.

Bingo, he made more money fighting Baldo, who at the time was the Champ.

Cotto doesn't have Mayweather's speed or defense. Why didn't Margo do that to Mosley?

He was being outclassed early and only beat Cotto, because:

    A. He loaded his gloves
    B. Cotto ran out steam.
    C. Cotto tried to fight as a slickster.

Mayweather never tires, and after 6 rounds of easy potshotting this fight would start to look similar to the Gatti fight.

Yeah, you could probably get away with that for a round then he'd adapt and feint the counter.

I honestly think pressure is the only answer for someone like PBF but it's always easier said than done. A well conditioned, heavy handed, clinical pressure fighter like Duran would have a great chance. Remember, Hatton had a lot of success until he got tired.

Also, guys like SRL, Whitaker and Camacho...yes, Camacho...would all give PBF fits but they all had one-of-a-kind talent.

    What?

Ok nevermind. First of all Mosley was strong enough to tie Margo up whenever he tried anything, Floyd is not. Secondly Margo just got caught cheating! You think his mind was in this fight?

Just so you guys know, I'm not saying that Margo would have definitely beaten Floyd, but to say he had no chance at all would just be ignorant.

Are you ****ing serious with the Gatti ****? If that was the case Floyd would have taken this fight in a heart beat. It doesn't matter what you guys say, Floyd was not fighting Margo at that time no matter what. Wasn't that the time he said "We're not fighting to find out who the best is" or some bull**** like that?

I know, but I'm talking about at the time when he fought him. He said he never fought the best southpaw int he division and at the time it was Zab. Unless I'm missing somebody

With Margo's chin and Floyd's Lidocaine filled brittle hands, who says that wouldn't happen. Then what for Floyd? One of those intangible things, that's why the fight it out in the ring and not on paper.

  14. ohh ok , yeh your not missing anybody

He missed Casamayor and Manny (Coincidence?) -
Manny and top rank had a freakin countdown on their website waiting for the fight right after he fought Mosley at Welterweight.
Of course he decided to retire like he has done before once there is better competition at his weightclass.

Tough to admit the guy stays away from the elite but he absolutely does. Especially when they are under 35 years old.
