I wonder how different Judah's career would have been if he wasn't knocked out by KT, a knock out like that would affect just about any boxer in future fights and may be why he never quite lived up to the talent he showed glimpses of, i remember against Cotto he dominated early before fading later in the fight.
I've always liked Khan..and Ive never really disliked Judah. He really has taken on some great fighters and the Tsyzu fight is yet to be repeated...his chin is still his weak point but it's proven that it can hold up a bit better than what everyone was saying after Kostya iced him. I've always had a fair bit of respect for Judah as a fighter...his abilities and his willingness the take on some very good fighters..He is still a **** and a mental midget, so it sort of evens out to me feeling neutral towards him..sorta like Choc.
I'd like to buy in on this theory also. :deal Can't stand the ****! God I wish a prime Kostya was around in the 140lbs division these days! Bradley is ****, anyone talking him up is kidding themselves. Alexander got shown up bad on the weekend, leaving Khan. Kostya would have wiped them all real bad, and I do mean bad.
i agree with the he can flat out fight, but his still chinny an dthats the big question, he just outlasted maidana and that was with some questionable refeering i thought... but that speed and combos is a great trait to have
In your post i quoted above you contradict yourself ie you state "He is a good boxer " then "a cheap fool " . Don't hate, appreciate . :deal
Every boxer has their weaknesses. He's been stopped once when he was caught early. **** happens. He had a major gut check against Maidana and passed. I'd have him favourite against anyone at 140lbs right now. The kid has the quickest hands in the sport.
Watch Bradley struggle against Rangel. I'm being generous with the word struggle here. In reality Rangel was robbed. Hell, watch Holt (Bradley's best win) getting his ass kicked and running away from Rangel for 12 rounds and winning a controversial SD. Then watch Zab Judah's fight with Rangel and then get back to me...
Wale Omotoso v Zab Judah in 2012. Anybody else see this as a possiblity? If Wale lands the fight and defeats Zaveck for the IBF crown, this could just be the sweetener to get a profile boxer like Judah to Australia and a name on his resume. Javeck's last mandatory was IBF#5 Jackiewic, and I'm assuming his fight this month against IBF#15 Delgado is a voluntary defense (?), then at least another mandatory in 2011 which could leave Omotoso as a voluntary late 2011/12. IBF#12 Wale is up next against unranked Kotey in March, so hoping a win would still be good enough to move him into the IBF top 10. Would probably still need to defeat at least one top IBF#5, which would give some real credibility for a title shot.
Thats it Casa. Im having huge trouble with these guys that dont watch enough boxing saying Guys like Tszyu, Judah, Hatton they would rule today's crop of 140 fighters. Hell i would go as far as saying guys like Hurtado, Gonzalez, Tackie would hold belts against this current crop of 140 guys today. I remember watching Hurtado give Pernell Whitaker a decent fight. Only to take a beating by Tszyu. Then they try tell us Bradley would whoop some of those guys. Yeah right. Judah for me was beating one the best fighters of the last 20 years for the first 4 rounds only to tire and lose his way and head in the fight against PBF. I could see a Prime Judah not only beating Alexander and Bradley but i would say he may be to quick and powerful for Khan. Cos lets face it Khan although very talented could easily get stopped with one decent Power Shot. And from what i remember Zab had great Power. Both Bradley and Alexander and even Maidana are pretty much hype jobs to make the 140 division seam like its the a well stocked division. But all i see is guys with not with the same talent as Khan yet Khan himself has major flaws. Actually after watching Katsidis against JMM i would love to see either Katsidis or Marquez move up and just show these fans what chumps they really are.
Wale wont get a shot unless he is Dejan Zavec's mandatory. Why would Dejan risk his title against a no name not mandatory, but highly dangerous Australian based Nigerian.:think
Weirder things have happend. Only reason I brought his name into the equation is Wale's focus on that IBF belt, and considering who'se ahead of him on the rankings he has a very good chance at moving up by facing good yet very beatable (at this stage in his career). You're probably right being a voluntary would lower his chances (unless Zavecks team don't do their homework), but in a perfect world a mandatory could still be pulled off: IBF#7 Ouali and IBF#1 Bailey faced off for an eliminator last December so if the rematch does not come off soon I see no reason why Omotoso cannot try and chase Bailey as a replacement which could land Javeck as a mandatory in 2012 should he win that eliminator. Ouali as an alternative opponent wouldn't be a bad name either on Wale's resume either considering he's under Mayweather promotions as well.
