    Agreed 100%.

Steve Kim tweeted yesterday that the problem with HBO is the lack of knowledgable/passionate boxing fans at the management level and that they should stop trying to make fights and let the promoters do their jobs.

The problem with the 2nd suggestion is that the cold war between GBP and TR is preventing promoters from doing what they should be doing, which is making the best fights possible for the fans and growing the sport.

The networks have every right to operate independently and decide what fights they broadcast. If promoters are in control, we get **** like this where the sole purpose is trying to make JCC jr a star and increase his and TR's future earning potential. While that is the name of the game and boxing is a business, CBS and the sport as a whole would benefit more from a Cotto-Mayorga or a Martinez fight as sports fans will be able to relate to these guys and these fights. JCC will win a boring UD and sports fans will wonder why they wasted their time watching and didn't watch UFC clips on youtube instead.

There is big picture thinking where everyone benefits and there is small picture thinking where one promoter/company benefits and unfortunately Arum is only interested in the latter.

Not only that,CBS is more "white bread" than "enchilada".Why place Chavez on CBS unless CBS wants to aquire a Mexican viewing audiance-especially against a no name Commie.
Just doesn't make sence.Sort of like placing Alexander vs Bradley in PONTIAC!WTF with that?

what a strange, strange thing to do. Putting Cotto-Mayorga or reruns of Montiel-Donaire or Pac-Mosley would make about 1,000,000 times more sense.

He'd be a much better pick IMO too. At least he will bring some emotion out of people and they will either love him or hate him. He's a tough ******* too.

JCC jr, yea his dad is a legend and he is ok...
