Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr is the fight that the whole world (minus Floyd Jr, Sr and Unca Roger) wants to see. Timothy Bradley vs Amir Khan is the next logical fight to happen in one of the hottest weight classes in boxing, with both guys coming off victories over other top guys in their divisions. But, I expect the opposite to happen this year, with neither of these fights happening but instead Pacquiao fighting Bradley at 147 and Mayweather coming back against Khan at 147 as well. What do you think? :bbb
Not sure, I can see the Bradley-Pacquiao bout coming off if Bradley beats Khan. But not before. And I think Mayweather would probably take the Khan bout (tune-up maybe...well a tune-up if he is going to eventually step in with Pacquiao)...but I think Khan and his team (including Roach) would be crazy to throw him in with Mayweather at this point. He would eat Khan's jab/inexperience/ring IQ/footwork alive.
Pacquiao won't fight Bradley. He is young, undefeated and not coming off a loss. Mayweather probably won't fight this year at all.
Nah. HBO have invested a lot of time and money in this 140 thingy, and will make this Khan-Bradley fight happen in 2011. There's no chance in hell they will allow Bradley to go over to Showtime for a fight with Pac before then.
Yeah, because HBO will be able to give Bradley the same amount of money for netting them 200,000 ppvs vs Khan that Showtime can give him for taking part in a fight that draws about 1,200,000 ppvs. That decision will not be HBO's to take.
Pac will only fight Bradley if Bradley signs with Arum Floyd and Khan are both with GBP so that's a fight that can happen. And for those who think only Top Rank makes in house fights... Every Mayweather fight since 2007 has been against a Golden Boy fighter. It's 2011 now.
HBO and Bradley have already made a commitment to one another for the next fight or two. Regardless of how much Bradley will make against Pacquiao, he will not be able to leave HBO without honouring their agreement.
