Sonsona was never a prospect, they hyped him up becuase he was a southpaw with excellent power but his game was as loose as a two dollar *****.

Thats why he retired and Pac and others set up a fund for him.

Ive seen Melligen a few times , hes a pinoy Welter but hes a bit raw.

What could be confusing is these guys could suck early in thier careers and sorta sneak up on us like Pacquino did. A Tsunami warning is what we need.

Pacquiao actually sucked in his teens but at 23, hes fighting and beating World champions. Not many people is Manny. Most prospects since the Pac revival of boxing is still taking the standard route.

I agree on gesta. He is the best pinoy prospect i've seen right now.

Melligen doesn't have it. Doesn't fight with urgency and doesn't throw enough punches. He will be outworked again in a fight soon.

Melligen isn't going anywhere. This Gesta kid is fun to watch but he has the T-Rex syndrome and will have problems against guys with reach. What about Efren Dapudong(sp?)?

You cared enough about Pinoys not interested about boxers other than Pac in the other thread. Now here's a thread about other Pinoy boxers. Then you spout this BS? Has Pac got you that butthurt? Or are you bitter that fraud has abandoned you and the rest of the *****s?

Out of natural talent Drian Francisco is our best one currently IMO. Before we annoint him he needs to be tested otherwise he could just be another AJ Banal.

But out of all the Pinoy prospects Gesta is the only that comes off as having any potential of appealing to the mass public like Pacquiao and Donaire do. He's original, has personality and has the backing of the best trainer in the game today. He could be the goods and it sounds like hes ready right now (called out Rios twice). He's someone to keep an eye on for sure.
