Mike Weaver is an excellent pianist. Matthew Saad Muhammad is also reported to be, but I've never seen footage of him playing the piano as I have Mike. It was well known during his career that Rocky Lockridge played the drums professionally. In a longer version of this clip, Jack Sharkey briefly plays a couple more instruments after finishing his strumming, then jokingly waves his hand in mock disgust, and stalks off in dismissal when a band member tries to hand over a tuba. Ike Weir played piano. Ernie Terrell (a titlist) played guitar. I've seen pics of Larry Holmes standing behind a keyboard on stage while singing. Not sure if he actually played it. Sonny Liston cut a 45 record. He sings pretty well from what I heard. But I don't know that he played an actual instrument.

..ezzard also played the cello...but only privately and for a few friends. he didn't think it would help his image as a boxer.
Archie Moore played drums, I think. He was actually reported to have been playing as part of a band at a nightclub a few hours after the Marciano fight, in good spirits.
