Just seen this there. This should be good :bbb

The all or nothing 126lb match-up between Commonwealth featherweight champion Stephen “Swifty” Smith and British titleholder John Simpson is set to be confirmed next week after purse bids are submitted next Wednesday.

The pair met in one of the British domestic dust-ups of last year as Smith, 25, took the Scot’s Commonwealth belt via a close split decision at the Kelvin Hall in September and has been out ever since after breaking his hand early on in the bout.

27 year-old Simpson (22-7-0, 9 KO’s) has since gone on to claim the Lonsdale belt after beating Martin Lindsay unanimously on points and will hope to do the same to Liverpudlian Smith when the pair meet again in the next couple of months.

Former Commonwealth gold medallist Smith (11-0, 6 KO’s), is back to full fitness following his injury and will be looking to keep his impressive unbeaten record in tact, in what will be his first defence of the Commonwealth belt.

should be a cracking fight this time round! simpson will have more confidence then normal after beating lindsay and arguably beating smith in there first scrap, the reason smith kept holding last time was because of injury, no doubts it will be a great fight 50/50 for me

I know he wasnt Billy. I know with have a difference of opinion of Burns but I love watching Simpson. Without the holding I think hes too much man for Smith

John had a slow start but to say he boxed his head off is ludicrious!! John has always been a slow starter though he even was against lindsay but barring another dodgy decision john wins comfortably on points IMO.

I'd fancy John heavily to get revenge in this match up, first fight he started too slow and should still have won the fight anyway but he knows this so i expect a much more fired up Simpson for this one.

John werent fighting with a snapped left hand from the 4th round.....if he f*cks his hand this time then we will see if he holds ey??? I done what I had to do to win! There'll be no holding from me this time, John can bring what he brings and ill bring what I do, should be a great fight but either way I wont be losing!

If he bust his hand you cant blame Smith, but it was a major disapointment. I think the punch output was less than a Bernard Hopkins fight
