He took a beating with Hatton and also with Khan. Big heart, indeed

Cant dish it out but can take it, paulie is a tough SOB. You may not like him but you cannot question his heart.

Cursed with bad hands. I give him credit for making the most out of his talent.

That's the fight that made me a fan of both guys. Paulie is a warrior. If he had decent power he would be a very dangerous man.

Cotto large cut in what round and still went on even with Clottey still trying to headbutt him again over and over... Devon is still young and hopefully he learns from this.

Didn't he actually hurt Cotto at one point?

That's when I became a fan, i wanted to see that guido get a beat down, and he did. He took like a man and he fought hard until the end even though he has no KO power, huge heart and I hope all the best for him. If he didn't have those little brittle hands he really could have been tops.

    Brave effort.

I remember alot of people were calling him a *** before the fight and the predictions were Cotto by brutal stoppage. He gained everyone's respect in that fight.

He kind of took away from it a bit for me though by blaming his corner for the loss after the fight and sacking them.

McGirt didn't end being that much better for him, as we found out in the Hatton fight, after which after he was also sacked by Paulie.

brave man a broken oribital is what ruined vic ortiz's career

  13. Thats the fight that made me a Malignaggi fan.

    Interesting fact:
Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi lost to Cotto that night, and Antonio "The Magic Man" Tarver lost to Hopkins on the same night. I bet $$ on both "Magic Men" and lost.... I never bet actual money on boxing again haha

yep, you gotta give him A LOT of credit for becoming a world champion with no pop behind his punches, pure boxing skills, also his defeats came from top fighters. (not including the diaz fight i thought he won both)
