I don't agree w/ some of the things that Arum does and says, but the bottom line is he's a businessman and his top priorities is making a lot of money for himself and his fighters.

1st Bold: Mayweather has not received a single Top Rank opponent since he left Bob Arum. I'd say it's far more likely that Bob Arum is the reason behind this considering he is the one promoting how many fighters? Exactly..... Bob Arum even admitted that he did not want to offer Mayweather the money to fight Cotto, Margarito, Hatton, and Oscar. IT IS ****ING ON RECORD AND PEOPLE STILL TALK **** LIKE: "Mayweather ducked Cotto & Margarito." ****ing joke. How bad would that have been for Arum if two of his more popular fighters gets schooled AND he pays out to Mayweather? It's a lose lose for him in a business sense, but people are too blind on their love for anything Top Rank to see it.

As soon as Mayweather left Top Rank: "Mayweather is scared of <INSERT TOP RANK FIGHTER> and he is ducking my guys." -- Bob Arum -- When Mayweather was WITH Top Rank: "Mayweather is the best boxer I've seen since Ali and SRL." -- Bob Arum

People who can't see this stupid act by Arum just baffle me. It's so blatantly obvious what he is doing. He is essentially using Mayweather's name to promote his fighters.

2nd Bold: I said "one of the worst." That does not mean "the worst." Yes, he is bad for boxing, I don't care what his deal with Showtime/CBS is, that has more to do with the popularity of Manny Pacquiao, than ANYTHING Bob Arum has ****ing done. That is for damn sure. The guy does not look to give the fans the best fights available. He is no better than Don King or GBP. If you want my list of "worst" promotional companies in regard to honesty and corruption, there you go: Don King, Top Rank, and GBP.

    Ummmm, yeah.

Maybe you're not familiar with the term: monopoly.

No, little one, not the board game either.

    Yep...

It's kind of funny, actually. Mayweather has directly and indirectly increased money (money... doesn't sound right. the economy, there we go) throughout the sport.

As far as I remember, Timmy has ONE more fight with Shaw. Meaning he can fight against Khan before becoming a free agent.

Then after the Khan fight, if he wins which I doubt, he's all ready to face off against money machine Pac.

You think Arum is worried about a his fighter getting schooled? Last I looked, Arum was successful with fighters with losses already. Hasn't hurt him losing cash cows either. Arum knows how to make stars.

And I am aware of that 'offer'. But as I asked others, since when does one negotiate purses for future fights that might not even take place? :huh How does that make sense? Like the PED issue, iot looked more like a convenient way to NOT fight. Blame it on purse of fights that aren't even set in stone.

Besides, like I asked, who was the last non-GBP fighter Mayweather fought? That is what you were replying about.

He's a promoter. That's what he says about his fighters, no different then anyone else.

Stop giving them your money. Take a stand, easy as that. :deal

And really, whether that deal is because of Manny, it's STILL Top Rank making the effort and reaching out.

he is an ass, but this is so true....his job is to make his fighters and his business $, not give us what we want....being and old ****, he really doesn't have to worry about pissing people off, since he will be gone before it catches up to him

I don't give them my money. I'd like SOMETHING worth throwing some at. That is the entire point. This will be the 3rd fight in a row that I will not be ordering Manny Pacquiao. Considering I used to ALWAYS order his fights, I feel I am not biased. I just see it how it is, and the guy is as big a boxing diva as Mayweather is, if not more so. As a Pacquiao fan, I place the blame for the diva and cherry picking routine more on Arum's shoulders being he is in charge.

I don't see Top Rank "reaching out," I see them talking trash. That doesn't help get a deal done.

Arum as of late have been the one moving boxing back to mainstream (stadium fights, tapping CBS), cant say the same for GBP and the others.
