it depends on the court's verdict if he will spend time in jail or not or just pay fines likely the most. its a "wait and see" for floyd.
It can be advantageous to delay so that witnesses forget things or disappear. If the trial takes place many months or years after the crime was committed, the defense can say "Well your honor it was so long ago, how can you be sure that their memory is serving them right?" Which is an extremely valid point. I think especially in the case where his kids are involved as witnesses, due to their age, they might be liable to not remember certain things or not be as reliable if a long time has passed since the date of the crime. Also it is frequently in the defense's best interests to delay as long as possible, particularly if the defendant is out on bail and not rotting in jail. In court cases with serious charges involved, like the ones Mayweather is facing, it takes a lot of time to "forumulate a game plan" so to speak against the prosecution. They have to come up with all the right things to say to get Mayweather out of the charges -- the longer they have to do this, the better. Also, they need time to explore their options as far as settling out of court and who knows, maybe even bribing witnesses, judges, or the prosecutor.

That's what I was thinking too. If I was the one taking someone to court, but all they did was continuously postpone it, my hopes for making money off of them would slowly decline.
This content is protected i agree with that, that tactic "justice delayed, justice denied" might work for floyd's team or maybe not. as you can see, they let floyd's uncle a free pass because there's a bigger fish to fry on him than his uncle.
I wonder though...after yet another delay and given that Floyd will probably be ready to fight at the earliest around August, that's more than 1 year of inactivity.... if he fights again, will he need some sort of tuneup fight before going after the big names like Pac?

why do people keep saying he could get up to 34 year. for some domestic charges?!?!? Murderers get less time than that. Surely that won't be the case. Can some explain where they get that number.
