If the job is doing you damage or preventing you from recovering I would drop it in a heart beat.

Use ur legs to lift bingo- I'm a personal trainer and I do about 50-60 deadlifts a day! Use it as an opportunity to get the edge

Is that it? I work in a lareg store where I'm the only stock keeper moving around furniture all day, no problems with my back.

Learn how to pick stuff up properly. Quiting a job because you can't box is a very stupid thing to do in these times.

Try physio, followed by a strength routine which aims to strengthen your posterior chain (back and legs). If you do that with proper stretching you may see a significant improvement.

However, I'm not aware of the current state of your injury so ask your doctor first.. obviously.

If you have to, you can get a belt to support your back at first, but I wouldn't recommend using it forever
