I like this video because it's not Karceno sucking Floyds ****, but it's not a ******* expressing their hatefully views on Floyd. Regardless of what you feel about this guy personally this is a great watch and really shows the man and how thinks, and feels. Sure, it's easy enough to throw up 10 minutes of a person behaving with humility and gravitas and draw preliminary conclusions. However, as you and I both know, life isn't lived in 10-minute windows. It's lived 24 hours a day, and the cumulative actions of that individual over that span tell much more about individual than a youtube snippet ever could. Fact of the matter is, Floyd has been accused of domestic violence --what 4 times now? --, comes from a family of woman-beaters and crack-heads, has given racist diatribes about not only Manny Pacquaio, but also HBO's perceived bias against black fighters. He and his family have gone way beyond limits of acceptable trash talking by accusing a fighter of performance enhancing drugs with no evidence to support it, and is a proven IRS tax-cheat. His own private community is also trying to run him out for the way he conducts himself. I know this will eventually devolve into a thread about "Who cares about Mayweather as a person, I just admire his skills!" Fair enough, but don't try to sugarcoat his persona in any way.
i understand that he needs to act that way to sell his fights and make people watch him to see him lose. i even understand that some guys needs attention and would show them by being aggressive with other people around them and throwing some tantrums. but what i wouldn't understand is that floyd thinks pac is an easy money, come back of retirement to fight the best and yet, 2 years after coming back, he still won't fight the man who stole the limelight from him.
NOT trying to defend Mayweather in any way since I am not a fan of his inside or outside the ring, BUT your reply is a typical "*******" kind of thing. YOU, YOURSELF Are drawing preliminary conclusions of the vids since it's obvious you didn't even watch them... YOUR answer to the videos was posted b4 10 mins had gone by from the original post... BTW, I myself can't be bothered to watch 'em as well, but at least I'm not willing to draw conclusions from it!!
And yet most people's exposure to him IS in 10 minute windows, in interviews, 30 minute to an hour windows in 24/7's and such. You don't have access to him 24 hours a day. People see what they see, then extrapolate based on that, you are doing the same. Are you certain that the coverage in these article snippets and 10 minute to hour windows of your exposure to Floyd Mayweather are not skewed? Do you feel that reporters go out of their way to show BOTH sides of the coin, or do they just focus on what makes good news? Do you think the footage they show in 24/7 is 100% of the footage shot, or perhaps just what they choose to air? Do you think ESPN, Fight Hype, BoxingScne or any of these sites give a flying fck about any POSITIVE things he does in the community, so much as to write articles about it? I'm not making any claims about who Floyd is as a person(because I don't know him and neither do you), but don't call it 'sugarcoat(ing) his persona' if someone is just showing the other side of the coin. The fact is, you and I ARE exposed to him in 10 minute windows, so these video's are just as legitimate an example of who he is as any other exposure you've had. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes; including you. Your life just isn't under a microscope for the world to see, examine and judge.
This was a very intelligent, articulate, and well thought out response, something that is often missing in the general forum. Excellent Post homie!:deal
Not trying to nitpick but since you started it. Him not watching it is actually part of his point. He said a 10 minute video is nothing compared to what he actually does in real life, that is undeniable. I'm not saying they're true or not just explaining there's no irony.
