Do you view a Lewis vs Klitschko rematch was really necessary?

    It's funny...i don't see it that way.

It was an old school ass whooping before Lennox ripped half of Vitali's face off with that glancing right hand.

i was obvious that Vitali was extremely distracted after the enormous cut on his face. Before that, he was giving Lennox a boxing lesson.

That's what i don't get...how does a glancing right hand over the top rip your eye off?

Oh well...Lennox fans see what they want to see when it comes to that short but great fight.

I must admit I was annoyed a rematch didn't happen at the time their was definately a sense of unfinished business. While Lewis won the fight and won it legitimately and in my opinion had the momentum when the fight was stopped, their was enough doubt as to an outcome of a 2nd fight to warrant a rematch.

But Lewis retired and it was probably the right choice. Too many fighters stay too long and it was clear Lewis had declined.

I suggest you watch the fight again and consider what I've just highlighted.

VITLAY was about to quit, the doctor saved him the embarrassment. He was also hanging off Lewis like a cheap hooker at the end of the 6th round, he had nothing left and was ready to go.

The hissy fit after the fight was all posturing once he knew the nasty big black man couldn't own him no more. It was like the end of that epic beard man video, saying he'd **** him up next time, and seconds later asking someone to bring amber lamps :deal

I feel the fight itself was one of the best in hw history.

In my opinion, Lewis had the edge before fight was stopped.

He made a right call to end his career afterwards. Time had come and he had already gained so much.

At the moment he is living healthy and happy life with his family. He is very fortunate guy having all that and all the respect and money from boxing.

And Vitali sure found Briggs hard to put away twelve years after Lennox KO'd him in 5.

    Great self ownership.:rofl

Of course. Such an intelligent fighter like Vilitaj would never repeat the same mistakes and would have won lewis EASY, VERY EASY on a rematch

Vitalij was about to quit? Are you ****ing stupid? He never wanted to quit! even when the doctors stoped the fight, you could see how disappointing Vitalij looked. Unlike ****ing lewis he was never KO'ed, even KD

Rahman and McCall knocked Lewis out COLD! If there's any fighter who doesn't deserve a rematch right away...It's the guy who got knocked out cold! He got it though, and made up for his loss in spectacular fashion.
Vitali on the other hand was winning 4-2 with some massive cuts, and kept wanting to go on regardless. IF LL is allowed to avenge his losing efforts after getting KTFO I think a man who is actually beating him and just so happens to get cut up pretty badly and the fight stops (even though Vitali was STILL WINNING with a torn off face) then he deserves a rematch more than Lewis ever did.

How about you learn before spouting off?

VK was Ko'd by a Pele Reid head kick.

If you dont believe it contact Gary Turner, a well known UK fighter and member of the UK team who was ringside.

We all saw him quit so even you might have seen that proof.

And watch VK kick up at Lennox when LL offers to help him get up. :deal

I dont need to dispute Lennox getting sparked by Rahman as I am man enough to admit when a champ lets himself down. So is Lennox hence his rematches and revenge.
