Why? Because he was such a technical and fast fighter? Or because he was a brawler? Or because he beat Mario Martinez by UD or the feather fisted Zaragosa by a Dec. no, maybe because he decisioned Villasana too.
he's right. gamboa is still unknown. you can't compare an up-and-coming fighter with a retired fighter who's been through his trials already.
:goodThat is the top and bottom of it. Infact it is'nt even a competitive fight at the moment. Gamboa is a 19 fight novice, albeit a very good one. But this matchup is way to early for him. Fenech was a warrior. What i would say is that at this point in Gamboa's career it would be throwing him in the deep end, and maybe he just might swim. But highly unlikely!
But none of them are better than Gamboa, and that is the point. P.S. I'll said Salido and Rojas are outhere with martinez and Villasana, Zaragoza was a warrior I like him a lot.
Gamboa is not that unkown any more, just because he is ahead of the competition it doesn't mean that he is unproven.
So I'm making a point and you r calling me a ******, that is you whole smart opinion, who are you? Dr. drew?
Personally, I think Gamboa would have been an awful style matchup for Fenech. Plus prime Fenech was at 122, not 126. Ask Gamboa vs. Nelson though, and I'd pick Nelson.
