Do you view a Lewis vs Klitschko rematch was really necessary?

Champions get rematches when they put in sub par performances, challengers do not. That's the way of the world and anyone who whinges is not going to change reality.

 

That nasty cut occured from the rough grazing of the forearm.

The rematch was a must. But I don't blame Lennox for retiring when he did. A very wise decision, because Vitali could have been very bad for him in the rematch.

 

Anybody who doesn't view a rematch as necessary is a Lennox Lewis nuthugger first and boxing fan second.

 

Rematch would have been great, the fight was razor close, in fact most had big klit winning at the time of the stoppage but lewis just didnt have the motivation for another very hard scrap and whos to blame him at the tail end of a great career

You have to give the first fight to Lewis, even if Vitali was ahead on all the cards and mounting a comeback.

That allegedly happened in light-contact kickboxing fight where hard punches or kicks that lead to knockout are not allowed. If it happened it was by accident.
