«Nous nous entraînerons au gymnase d’Angelo Dundee à Miami Beach (Angelo Dundee’s 5th street gym), a expliqué l’entraîneur de Bute, Stéphan Larouche, vendredi, avant l’entraînement du champion. L’autre salle d’entraînement était correcte, mais elle était très achalandée. À notre nouvel emplacement, nous avons l’exclusivité du gymnase pour un bloc d’heures chaque jour.»

Bute is sparring with Buddy McGirt jr and Daniel Judah, 2 southpaws.

That comes from David Messier, Interbox communication guy, who went to Miami recently to see Bute in training.

Bute is in a bad spot right now; he didn't won, YET, against an elite figher so he doesn't have an upper hand in challenging one; he can only take fringe contenders and the future does't look too bright either:

    1. Froch need not fight him, rightfully if you watch from his perspective, as he already fought established elites like Abraham (160 elite), Taylor (160 elite), Pascal (175 elite), Kessler and Direll;
If he wins the supersix he'll consider that he has done enough at 168 and will go after Pascal or a title at 175. if he gets to the final and loses in a close match he'll want a rematch.

    2. Kessler need not fight him, rightfully if you watch from his perspective, as he beat alot of 168 champions and lost only to 2 southpaws: Ward and Calzaghe.
He wants his 2 old bells back and to put his name on the HOF; he wants the winner of the super6: if it is Froch he has an advantage; if its Ward he may ask for a fight in Danmark to get his revenge, as he was the one to travel with his belt in Oakland.

    3. Dirrell; not a great name but a very talented one; i think he hopes Froch wins the super6 so that he can get a rematch (small chance)

    4. Ward is youg and willing but until it happens it's just words; if he loses the final and probably the rematch he will take a fight with Bute surely;
But let's not forget that his promoteur explained before the super6 that Ward didn't target Bute belt beacause he knew he could't get him out of Canada; he managed to do that with Kessler so props to him.

Showtime cannot force anyone of those guys to fight Bute cause they have them under contract i think only for the super six. And they already didnt take actions against the guys they dropped out.

    5. Mendy isn't worthy but i think this is Bute's next fight if he beats Magee; IBF will strip him for sure, they proved already this on many occasions- ofcourse this will fuel Bute's haters and will heavily dissapoint his fans.

Bute needsd a miracle: Abraham or Johnson drops of the supersix to make him room in the semifinals. Otherwise he will despair trying to get a fight with the top 168ers. He will have to travel to Danmark, England or Oakland and this only if Kessler, Froch or Ward agrees to fight him.

You are wrong on that and all your post falls down.

The money is with Showtime and Ward said many times he would face Bute if he wins the tournament.

    Garbage post.

Anybody who win the tourney will need to face Bute to be crowned SMW no1! there's no others reasons why Showtime sign Bute!

Exactly. Unless they do it, they will be number 1 but not king of the division.

no need to get emotional, i am a fan of Bute, i just don't like the signs:
    - Kessler stated that he wants the winner of super6 pushing Bute aside and this after he declined Bute's offer to fight in march pointing out that he's still not ready after his injury.
    - Froch bashed Bute at the start of the super6 not taking him in account as a top SMW
    - Bute loves his belt and i don't think IBF would organize another title eliminator unless its bribed
    - Ward, if he wins the super6 could go after Pavlik and make good money in US and then move to LHW and take Dawson/Hopkins for another big payday, claiming that Bute 'ducked' him or that he fought noone of notice
    - Bute fighting Miranda-Brinkley-Magee brings him no hype, on the contrary. Bute only had momentum only after KO-ing Andrade in the 4th.

really now, that's a boxing fan's perspective; everyone agrees on that but it seems to me that Kessler and Froch doesn't realy care about that, and Showtime can't impose on them to fight Bute; also, i don't really trust in Ward proclaimed eagerness to fight Bute to "clear out the mess". Lets not forget that at the start of Super6, Showtime pointed that this tournament would give the king at 168. Their late change of heart (offering Bute a contract) may not convince the winner to fight Bute in NY.
and i really, really, really, really want to see Bute fight this year at least one time against Kessler/Froch/Ward or even Dirrell

You are wrong not because I'm emotional but because you are wrong!
Showtime has the money. Money rules boxing. Showtime has decided that Bute would face the super 6 winner.

One or 2 of the super 6 may duck Bute but there will be some that will be game to face him.

    Money. Period.

Well, i would like to be wrong but my negative assumptions have a solid backgroung; i'm speaking about Kessler's, Froch's , Ward's, IBF's atitudes and more important, their actions.
And Hope envolves emotion, you hope "there will be some that will be game to face him" and that's why you totally dismiss my post and not make an argument point by point against my assertions. I also hope you are wrong about the "Money. Period." (Money rules boxing but i might add that boxers are often ruled by the risk/reward ratio) because there is also a bad omen that i forgot to mention: i live no more than 300m from SteauaBucharest's 30.000 seats stade. I spoke about interviews and actions, now i'll speak about signed contracts:
1- Bute signed a contract, along Ilie Nastase, Nadia Comaneci and Gheorghe Hagi in order to promote Romania's tourism and he wishes to defend his belt in front of his co-nationals - fact, not garbage.
The governement and Parliament are ready to support him financially and promote him.

2- Bute has a mention in his Showtime contract in which is specified that his second fight with them to be in Romania- fact , not garbage. So... what names can bring Showtime for July ? Kessler ? Froch? Abraham after 3 (probable) loses? Sartison? Stieglietz? Taylor ?Hbo's Martinez or Pavlik?
Do you think by then that the situation will be better then the one prior to choosing Magee? Or do you hope.

3- IBF , it will bid a purse on Bute - Mendy . Do you think they'll do Bute a favour and drop this fight? Do you think Bute will easily drop his belt because Mendy is unworthy? maybe, but to fight...who? Please give me a valid name before you throw all my posts to the carbage can.
Showtime may sell this well in proud France and Romania , Mendy's record sounds good for a non-connaisseur. Larouche said Bute will not fight Mendy but the facts i mentioned might change his mind.

Also i don't see in Bute a sense of emergency in fighting an elite, he thinks he has a status: he has but he overrates it. In taking Mendy he'll have the same justification as he did when he went for Magee: lack of opponents plus mado/fighting in homeland. With a string of wins Miranda-Brinkley-Magee-Mendy things look really bad.
Ooooh, i hope am i'm in the wrong more than you do but i'm rational enough to follow facts. i hope in an act of drama Abraham (loses his tune-up or gets injured) or Johnson (struggles to make weigh endangering himself) drops out of the supersix semis to make Bute room.
I am not being evil, i'm being desperate ;i hope also Bute find a sense of emergency in his situation.
