18-year-old Ximenez has a bitching Tejano peach-fuzz 'stache, and his last name starts with the letter X (there aren't nearly enough boxers filed under "X"). I am officially backing him.

 

Round 1

Hard left hook by Ximenez as Berto wades in low. Ximenez is parrying some high searching slaps from Berto with his high-cocked right and countering with short hooks. Nice right uppercut from Ximenez. He's catching Berto often with that punch. Berto is just coming in low and trying to grab around the middle of Ximenez. HUGE LEFT HOOK HAS BERTO STAGGERING BACKWARD LIKE A MAN WHO GOT SHOT! Several punches land as Berto tries to grab. Ximenez bangs away. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG! Berto is backed into a corner, and has his head snapped up with a brutal flush uppercut. Ximenez pokes a jab in his face and keeps lining up fast hard combos up and around the guard. Ximenez is not wasting much movement, just doing his thing and really laying a hurting on Berto. Ximenez has completely reddened his opponent's face; he's like a walking beet. Berto is down again off an uppercut but it's ruled a slip.

Round 2

Ximenez patiently extends his jab, sizing Berto up. Ximenez isn't coming forward recklessly, just landing accurate jabs from the outside and flipping off a combo whenever Berto is stunned by a jab or gets off balance trying to circle. Berto paws with a defensive jab from several paces away and takes big lateral steps away from Ximenez, looking to lurch forward with a lead uppercut but getting countered savagely by the very accurate and quick (and relaxed) Ximenez. Berto hangs back and makes eye contact but doesn't brave the pocket, trying to dodge some long sharp-shooting from Ximenez delivered out of a tight guard.
