both coming off "injuries" both backed out of the super6 with 1 win and 1 loss. I think it's an interesting matchup and it makes sense. The winner fights Bute and then the winner of that fights the winner of the super 6.
that's a misconception. Kessler vs Dirrell might end up looking something like Kotelnik vs Alexander with Kessler walking Dirrell back and taking him to school. Dirrell has even less inside game than Kessler. Bute is a much smarter fighter than Dirrell
Bute is a similar fighter to Dirrel a slick mover Dirrel and Bute are very similar except Bute is better
I'm all up for it, but... when does this happen? Kessler wants Stieglitz in June, and Dirrell might be taking a tune-up in the Spring.
Are both Kessler and Dirrell still contractually bound with Showtime, until the S6 is over? I think Bute will be fighting one of the two in the summer/fall timeframe.
They should but the super six is almost over and they added some extra people to the tournament, Its already a mess, just leave it the way it is.
Naahh! Kessler will be fairly rusty and possibly in need of a confidence booster. Stieglitz should take this fight on the possibility he's caught Kessler at the right time. Ageing and rusty? Who knows?
Kessler had and still has a serious injury, IMO he should stay retired and not risk his health. Dirrell faked it all and shouldn´t be allowed to fight anymore.
Just to play devil's advocate. Why should 1 of these 2 guys, who, had they continued, may not have even made it into the semi's......(although I think Kessler would most likely have beaten Green), have the luxury of fighting the S6 winner?
They may not have made it to the semis, or they may both have made it easily. We'll never know. And the super6 winner will need an opponent right? He won't just sit on his laurels forever. So if the winner of Kessler vs Dirrell fights Bute, then that winner is a more than worthy opponent
