Gotta wonder whats keeping John at domestic level, if anyone has earned the right to head up the rankings towards world honours its him. Can you shed any light on it Billy?

watch a mayweather fight when he hurts his hands. Smith is all class the best young british fighter by miles.

I thought Simpson won the first fight but I can only see Smith improve on the two performances.

I'm going for a comfortable points win for Smith.

I think Simpson will win this one ( hopefully ) .I think he'll win a decision like the Lindsay fight .

Like I said earlier on in the post, I did what I had to do to win under the circumstances! I have had an operation on my left hand which is feeling back to 100% now thanks to Mike Hayton so there'll be no problem from now on. It kept me out of the Lindsay fight, in which John stepped in and done a good job, winning well in my eyes. Makes for a good rematch between us two now, guaranteed a better fight.

Also - I could look at like this...if John couldnt beat me then, then he will have twice the job this time round! He had everything in his favour last time round - I was cut in the 3rd from a head clash, done my hand in the 4th, boxing in Scotland with a vocal support behind him in my first live fight, my first title fight and my first 12 rounder.

I will prepare for the best of John Simpson....exciting times ahead :good

    :yep

It was scrappy to say the least.

I reckon we'll be able to say that about the next one though.

I thought Simpson was right unlucky not to get the decision in the first fight. Think the judges reckoned Simpson was finished so wanted to give it to the up and coming fighter.

You're an absolute tosser. Plus calling it a robbery shows you havent got a clue about boxing. It was very close, could have gone either way; that doesn't constitue a robbery. Smith will win by a wider margin this time I think anyway

Was a good fight, this time Swifty wins clearly IMO and that's no disrespect to Simpson who is a great domestic fighter.

For me personally Simpson won the first fight by 2 rounds so was surprised you got the win Swifty, i hope the fight takes place down your back yard as John always seems to perform better on the road!

I expect a much better perfomance from Simpson this time round starting a lot quicker than he did in the previous hugfest and also hoping for a much more entertaining bout, surely when John wins this fight he can finally move onto European level.
