    Disappointed really.

Admittedly I haven't seen much of mccloskey but better fights could have been made.

This is better than katsidis or witter fight but i'd have preferred prescot, murray or peterson.

I would have preferred Peterson, too. But for the tune-up fight it is, McCloskey's a good opponent for Amir to get accustomed too (style-wise). It'll also fill his pockets up nicely in the mean time. Good choice.

And like plenty of others have already mentioned in the past, Prescott can be saved for another time - if and when Khan's career takes another setback, and he needs to win over fans again.

Berto Vs Ortiz is nearly finalized for April 16th, according to Dan Rafael.

Yeah it's good ticking the box for another style I suppose. I just don't see a victory meaning much.

I don't see khan having a setback any time soon (unless he fights marquez) that's why I wanted the prescot fight now, I don't ever see it being feasible in the future.

Excellant news! I wonder if Dudey got more money this time round? If so he drives a hard bargain!

    For future preference,

Peterson turned down the $300,000 offer. He was first choice. McCloskey was second. Murray was third.

How do you know this mate?? Are you close to the Khan team??

You seem to get a lot of inside info.

I'm happy for McCloskey that he is getting his shot at a world title but I can't see him winning a round in this fight.

Maybe calling it a 'tune up' has a bad connotation but it should be a pretty straight forward win. But this kind of attitude can also get champions in trouble. If Khan thinks he just has to show up, then he could be in a bit of bother :yep Also I really wanna know who the new conditioning coach will be. Will he push Khan like Ariza did?
