Beating an old, former top level fighter is better than beating a no name opponent. The Mercer fight was great for Wlad and if he put in a similar performance against Tua, he'd build his fanbase, without a doubt.
Like you know, I'd like to see this fight but Tua being 38 and his last hw title fight in 2000 might look pretty bad.. Pacquiao gets **** even from fans and press for fighting Shane but he's very game compared to today's Tua. Tua 5′10″ vs Wlad 6′ 6½″ would still be a sight to look for.. How many wins away Tua could be possible mandatory?
He got overpaid against Cameron. Just like you know Audley got paid way, way, way more than he was worth when he fought Haye. Sometimes fighters get lucky. That doesn't mean everyone else has to equal or beat that same amount. Whatever your internal pricelist is for what fighters are supposedly worth - that list is made up entirely of how you can defend Haye. It has no connection to the real world.
If you want to say it was an exaggerated amount, what do you think about Sosnowski getting twice that? Do you genuinely think Sosnowski deserves twice as much as Tua? And this has nothing to do with Haye. Don't try to discredit me because I've defended Haye in the past. I've not mentioned him at all, so neither should you.
The correlation between those who attack the Klit contracts and Haye defenders would likely be over 95%. If you think they are separate issues you are deluding yourself. In fact, attacking the Klit for their contracts is nothing other than defending Haye. That is your entire motivation. Be honest with yourself on this if you can.
I voted "no" myself. You just made this thread to defend the Klitschko's but I never once said Tua was ducked by them. He wasn't. The only point I ever made, was that it was an unfair offer. Make a thread entitled "Did Sosnowski deserve twice as much as Tua?", which is my point, and see how many people vote "yes". I'd vote "no" to that too.
They're separate issues to me. If Haye fans want to blindly defend him, **** them. I don't care about their opinion. I'm not saying any of this as a Haye fan, which is why I've never mentioned his name and I've never said the fight fell apart over a bad contract. Those are two separate issues, honestly. Haye/Wlad being 50/50 was fair. Haye brings in more money but Wlad is the champion. It's a fair deal. I don't think Tua getting half what Sosnowski would have is fair, nor do I think the three fight deal is fair either. I like Haye, sure, but long after he's retired, if it's tis year, I'll stick by that. To me, it has nothing to do with Haye and more to do with me, a genuine boxing fan, wanting the best fights for boxing.
Are you a ****ing idiot or something? Seriously, you keep making this bull**** posts aimed towards me. You twist what I say, pick certain insignificant lines out and try to belittle my argument at any chance. I'm not sure whether you're trying to wind me up by being a troll or you're simply a ****ing idiot. It's one or the other.
What hell is wrong with you, Jack? If you sincerely believe that you're objective, I'll let you know that you are the only one. Rushman is right. Complete waste of time to try to have any kind of reasonable debate with you, ****ing weirdo.
