What's with some of the excuses here "priced himself out", "why pay a guy 600k when you can pay another guy less than 1/2 that", etc? So fighters should ignore challenges and simply fight who they can pay the least? ****ing clowns.

Anyway, Khan gets a pass here as long as he fights Bradley in July.

See you can cover your ears and scream to the top of your voice for all I care but you contradict yourself on so many levels.

You earlier admitted boxing is a business, so why won't khan fight the easiest fight that will produce the biggest amount of revenue outside of himself and Bradley.

Since this boxing business that khan emphasises to a tee why won't he fight the guy who he will pay the least that will take the least change and give him the biggest profit margin.

You clearly don't know basic business so don't spout of about it I suggest you keep quiet about that sunshine

When Timothy Bradley bashes Pacquiao's cherry-picked opponents, and claims he'd beat him........people here say Timbo's a cool guy that keeps it real.

When Amir Khan says he'd like to fight Mayweather in 12-18 months time when he's neared his peak........people here say he talks too much ****.

Yeah, exactly! Perfect example. I do like Timothy but I think he is believing his own hype a bit too much now.

I’m getting tired of repeating myself, so I’ll just say it once more for you to sit down and take on board. Before you jump to respond, Spud, READ and THINK. Ok? I know it’s something you don’t like to do, but just give it a try, yeah?

Right now, Khan is in the pursuit of conquering a division which many regard as the hottest in boxing. If he successfully conquers this division, he then puts himself at the forefront of being considered by Mr Money Maywather in a very high-profiled bout. So as you’ve guessed, this quest will not only be beneficial towards his legacy, but will also fill his pockets up pretty nicely too.

However, upon taking this route, he faces the high risk of losing. Because he is, after all, pitting himself against opponents of much higher skill. So in the event of him losing, Khan’s stock will take a serious dent and he’ll be in danger of being held in lower regards amongst fans and the general boxing public. Therefore, he needs something in the bag which will provide a perfect platform for rebuilding his career....

    ...enter Prescott!!

Playing the Prescott-card right now makes little sense, when instead, he can save it for a time when he desperately needs it. Currently he [Khan] is on a roll, the fans and the media are behind him, and he’s ok to slowly work towards that goal of unifying the division. Avenging a defeat isn’t that high of a priority for him right now, and it doesn't need to be chased after just yet.

    Got it?

Any Khan fight will always have the potential for excitement since we all know he has those shaky whiskers.

That's not what I was talking about.

Fighting Khan in the UK is an absolute impossibility, which is why it has always been given the July 30th date to be taken place in the US. It's what HBO want.

    So when Bradley says:

"I'll go over to the UK to kick Khan's butt."

    He really means:

"I'll just go ahead and pretend I'm willing to travel to the UK to fight Khan (even though I know this can't happen) because it'll make me look tough. And when Khan doesn't say yes, he'll look like the one who's afraid."

It's hindsight now, and Sky made the right move by not forcing Khan to switch. But if these are your real feelings then throw yourself off a skyscraper.

I understand it's hindsight. Still would rather see a Bradley fight over this. Makes it seem worse, that's all.

You can say something and know that it still won't happen, but that doesn't mean you don't mean it. Those aren't mutually exclusive ideas. Bradley doesn't need to pretend to be tough... he is tough.

It's not the most difficult opponent, but nonetheless an undefeated one in the 140 pound division, and one that will garner a lot of popularity due to the England vs Ireland theme.

Also, for those people who say this is a joke, at least we know Mccloskey doesn't quit.

Now, Bradley/Alexander, that was a joke of a fight :patsch

The Bradley fight is scheduled for July. It isn't going anywhere. It will happen.

No, but when he calls an opponent out for not fighting him on a particular date, despite him knowing full well that is not possible for him [the opponent] to do so, then you have to question his sincerity.

He's not pretending to be tough, no. But he's pretending that a Bradley-Khan fight can happen in April, and that Khan is reluctant to do it.
