This guy had elite boxing skills. One of the best, if not the best cruiserweight of the last 10 years!

What happened to him? he could outbox a lot of these contenders.

    He ran into VK.

Same thing that would have happened to D. Haye if he had any balls.

Great CW does not beat a great HW 90% of the time.

Tyson Fury is correct, Haye knows that Vitali and Vlad are too big for him. Haye is afraid of Chagaev!

He's basically doing fights little better than exhibitions in Germany. Fights he can show up fat for and still school a guy and get a paycheck. Sad, frustrating, if you follow him.

He was Good Cruiser. He did hang with heavyweight because of his skills and went far as he could IMO.

I would have given him good change against guy like DAvid Haye at Cruiser but at Heavyweights Haye would kill this overweight Cuban.

He got heavy and lazy when he went to heavyweight, his skills diminished, he got hammered by Vitali Klitschko, now is winding down doing little fights for burger money.

Hated training, changed coaches more often than his underwear, had beef with several promoters, relocated time to time - dude looked like the next great HW coming from cruiserweight when he toyed with Samil Sam, a solid and rather typical HW contender of the time but lazyness got better off him and got his ass spanked in his next fight. He still showcased his skills years later handling Virchis with ease (McCall too twice), but didn't stand a chance vs. Vitali (in a fight I though could be very, very difficult for Klitschko but Vitali put on a masterful performance). Biggest waste of talent in HW in the past decade and he can only blame himself.
