I think his talent is unlimited I'd really fast track his career I'd try get him some tough fights over the next year getting him ready for a world title shot. I'd start him with George groves think it will be pretty easy for DeGale personally. Then I'd throw him in against MaGee which is a good test but very winnable and I think MaGee will be coming of his loss against Bute so that will go in DeGale's favour. Then maybe Somebody like Bika who has never been stopped and has fought alot of world class fighters never to have succeeded past that level, DeGale can easily outpoint him and sharpen his skills that will help him to go against the worlds best. After that I would see how the world title situation is but if Arthur Abraham is around I would defiantly put DeGale in with him because personally that would be a match made in heaven. Around this time I'm presuming Froch and maybe Ward will have moved up so the titles will be available for the taking.
agreed! maybe stieglits next. win a world title then fight groves. be great for british public, two young guy with a grudge against each other fighting for a world title. could fill the o2!
I think a world title shot right now might be just to much but if he does fair play and I'll back him all the way. I'd get groves out the way sooner rather than later. It would be a bit of a step backwards I would like him to gain new skills with every fight. The groves fight to me personally is pretty easy.
yeah true. maybe world title is too soon. i like groves as a fighter but i just think he's flawed. maybe a loss to degale might spark some action from his camp to work on some fundamentals. cus right now he's so hitable its unreal. the way he opens up to throw his over hand right. degale would eat him alive. what id like is for him to swap trainers. booth trains groves and haye... both guys are rough diamonds that need improving.
