the reason that weight divisions are a lot closer together in the lower weight classes than in the higher weight classes is that the lighter you are the harder it is to move up a certain amount of weight.

Example it's harder for a Flyweight to move up 14lbs and be successful at Featherweight than for a WW to move up 13 lbs and be successful at MW, even though they are pretty much moving up the same amount of weight.

IMO Pac's rise up the divisions is ALOT more impressive than RJJ's and it's not that close.

Adamek started at 175, fighting at heavyweight

Antonio Tarver started at 175, fighting at heavyweight

Iran Barkley held a world title at 160, fought at heavyweight

James Toney held a world title at 160, fought at heavyweight

Roy Jones did not do anything these guys didn't do, he merely had the profile to cherrypick an immediate title shot whereas they did not.

ONE FIGHT against a weak champion like Ruiz does not equate to a former flyweight dominating and/or stopping top 5 welterweights!! :nut

    This is crazy.

    :lol::lol:

    You are right.

I mean, Pac stepping up and beating a shot, worthless, weighed than him DLH completely owns Roy Jones right there. Plus Pac making Cotto come down to 145, or making the Margarito fight at 151.

You are arguing that I've said what Roy Jones has done is greater.

Which is something I have not said.

Toney beat the living **** out of Holyfield in a way no-one else has ever done, before or since (not even prime Bowe beat him as easily).

His dominance over the Real Deal beats Ruiz hugging and rolling Evander to a crappy decision once out of three fights.

No it isn't if you weigh 106 pounds at like 16 years old obviously you are going to gain weight because your body isn't done growing.

106 at 16 years old anyways is ****en malnourished as ****.

Let's not forgot that, Jones started at 160, not 175.

Winning titles at 160, 168 and 175, and skipping cruiserweight to fight at HW.

You want to ignore that Pac's jumps in weight in the beginning were relatively easy and more so because he HAD to move up, not because he wanted to.

You've argued yourself Pac can't fight below 140 anymore.

While we all know Jones during his 175 tenure could of gone to 168 but he was not a natural LHW.

So yes, it does equate to being equal because Jones already fighting steady at 175 while still being a natural SMW moved up to HW.

You totally shot yourself in the foot comparing Pac's win over Clottey to Jones over Ruiz.

And you call yourself a Jones fan?

A disgrace of one is more like it.

    Yes one pound!

Why was that one pound so important if it meant so little?

Roy Jones, IMO. Pac's was indeed impressive. And if you are basing it on the number of weight classes each fought at...it's Pac. However, if you are comparing Pac's jump from SFW to LW to WW to Roy's jump from LHW to HW...it's Roy. Those are the most recognizable moves up in weight in, for each of them (when Pac moved up to face Diaz--at 135--then ODLH, compared to Roy moving up to face Ruiz).

    Theres a difference.

It's not like Jones made Toney come down in weight.

    Toney let himself go INSTANTLY.

3 and half months before, Toney weighed in at 168.

It's not like Toney fought at LHW prior and to come down.

    Don't blame that on Jones.

Toney got his ass beat. Simple as that.

BTW - Hows your shoulder and what was wrong you never PMed ME!!
