I think outside the K brothers and Adamek, Povetkin is one of the better opponents for Haye. Really can't complain about Pov as a challenge for Haye.

Povetkin is young, tested against decent opposition over the last couple years, maybe in a questionable mental condition but still better than old 40 year old bums Haye has been fighting.

Also much better than an ultra shot Chagaev who almost got stopped by a shop-worn journeyman in his last tune-up.

This fight is more intriguing, than the Klitschko bout in my opinion. I think it's a real toss up, and will be more competitive. Both fighter's are on the same level statistically....

Too dangerous for Haye, look for him to fight Kali Meehan or have Malignaggi bloat up to heavyweight.

Haye would rather have no respect than fight anybody good. He does not want to be exposed again and will go to great lengths to make that not happen. He will NOT fight Povetkin . . . Rahman, Mormeck, Holyfield, or valuev. Thats it.

A Haye/Povetkin will be a most welcome fight if Haye won't fight Klits . . . I'm just not sure if Haye will chose to fight the guy or just dish out more excuses.

    I´d be rooting for Elvis

Anyways Haye vs Povetkin would be a good fight, hope it happens. If Klitschko -fight doesn´t come be, then Chagaev-Povetkin-Boytsov fight (any of them) would be legit and well worth watching for.

Mark my words- Povetkin would knock Haye the **** out. He may have been keeping a low profile for a while but he is still the third best heavyweight and would be a ****ing nightmare for Haye. Haye's cagey start would not work because Povetkin would take the fight to him from the opening bell and Haye would be in big trouble straight away

    Before fighting Adamek in September

Given Haye's defence I don't think that is impossible, but Ibragimov gave Holy a beating a couple of years ago and Haye has a similar style. Its not a fight I'd want to see

    YEah Ilesey.

This Might be Interesting Match up Style wise too. Think about it.

Povetkin Who comes Forward and has fair good offense and Haye is good Counter puncher with Wicked Right Hand.

Both are Fresh and somewhat in their Primes.

    Could be a Great Fight.

If Haye fights healthy Povetkin, he gets back a lot of my respect.

Regardless of how the fight pans out it is a great match up. I'd cancel Christmas this year for it to happen, but I don't think that will help the negotiations much

I think Povetkin wins, he's actually moving his head every now and then in exchanges, I think he'd spell trouble for Haye and tattoo him with his short crisp left hooks.

I think Haye would jump at the chance to fight Povetkin, who is not as big puncher, and is rather easy to hit.
If Eddie Chambers could punch just a little bit, Alex would not have survived.
Haye knows he would shatter Povetkin.
The question is, will the super careful Povetkin agree to fight Haye?
Alex already chickened out from one title shot, he may do it again.
