truely outstanding predictions bailey :deal in all those threads you were recieving the same sort of abuse as you are receiving in this one by ignorant, brainwashed, narrow minded ring comic / hbo puppetts untill the result of the fight where you made them eat crow because you saw straight through all the bull**** that these gullable idiots get fed through the media every single day of their lives :-( remember this people - the words of 1 wise man are far more important than the opinion of a thousand fools :deal
:good:good thats quite impressive, i would have agreed with you on all except the pascal/dawson fight which i got wrong. But still Kessler beating RJJ? If theres one thing I learnt about these kind of style fights, its that fighters like RJJ can step up their game at any minute. RJJ reactionary defence at his prime was insane and could easily counter Kesslers jab. Thats how i see it
I can see Kessler having his moments, maybe even winning a round or two. But Jones wins it, quite possibly by brutal stoppage at some point.
To me Kessler is heads above James Toney at SMW... But then again I don't rate Toney the way sum of you guys do. RJJ is to fast for Kessler, but he would not win by KO. Roy by UD in his toughest fight at SMW so far.
The "Mismatch, Jones by humiliation/domination" option... Is that thought of as a mismatch like the Calzaghe - Jones humiliation??? I don't think Kessler would get outclassed like that... No way...
I'm saying this, anyone who picks Kessler in this matchup definitely should not be taken seriously. I'll admit that I'm a Roy fan but still, c'mon. Limited Kessler definitely does not beat prime Roy who's damn near unstoppable at that weight H2H. Prime at light heavyweight, no but he's definitely near unbeatable at SMW. Definitely. Roy definitely puts a whooping on Kessler. Roy by a one-sided decision or by late rounds TKO because Kessler's corner throws in the towel. No way does Roy knock Kessler out cold but with his speed & power maybe he can knock him down but that's all.
I've heard some dumb**** in my time here though. I've heard these things: Hopkins was prime in '05 Hopkins only potshotted Trinidadatsch Holyfield's ko over Douglas was as impressive as Marciano's ko over Walcott(first fight):-(
i like Kessler, but honestly, i wouldn't be suprised if they fought at a catchweight and Jones gets the decision, and everybody starts saying "OMG, RJJ is back!" and "Comeback of the year!" i can see it now :think
Kessler would beat Roy with ease these days... I hope I never see Roy in a fight again... He is FINISHEDatsch
Kessler by brutal Chin Shattering KO. Roy Jones Jr. has a disgraceful Glass Jaw, and that is a fact. :deal [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sVMrmTBKlQ[/ame]
Nobody dared to put Roy Jones under pressure in those days. Both Hopkins and Toney did´nt deliver in their fights against Jones. And Jones´s weak jaw never got tested during his prime. He moved so well and punched so fast that all his opponent only fought to survive. Kessler is a different kind of fighter than the whole bunch of contenders during Jones´ prime years. Jones would´ve have outboxed him - but he would have been put under pressure by a determined Kessler. Kessler would´ve been the first to test Jones´ weak jaw. And he might have been the first to KO Jones.
Roy wasn't @ SMW or even at his prime then so that's irrelevant to this poll. Kessler would never beat a prime Roy no chance in hell.
:deal Exactly. The evidence is there for all to see. Jones has a fragile Glass Mandible. End of discussion.
