*Prime Mikkel Kessler beats prime Roy Jones at SMW*

Jones wasnt in his prime. Who knows. What I do know is Roy was a top LHW, who won a HW title then came back and beat a top rated LHW then got KOd in the rematch. Nobody said he was past his prime going into the Tarver rematch and Jones was favourite to beat Tarver and Johnson only to lose both by KO

 

its hard to say, jones never fought anyone as good as kessler

 

I thought he was past prime after Ruiz despite beating Tarver later in a close fight. He wasn't as fast as he was anymore when he fought Tarver and didn't have the legs to avoid getting pressed. He was greatly diminished in the Johnson fight and had the legs of an old man. Again, those fights weren't at SMW so they have no meaning on this poll. If Tarver beat Harding in the first fight he wouldn't have gave so much problems to Roy when they did fight because he would've fought a fresher Roy but that's Tarver's fault. I still think he may have won a couple of rounds at most against Roy but it wouldn't be as hard as it was on Roy.

 

And who exactly did Kessler pressure that would make you believe he could do that to a prime Jones? It cuts both ways....... just saying.

A.) Jones wouldn't fight him.

or

B.) Jones gets KO'd and hits snooze several times while on the canvas.

what the rojo's need to remember is

1 - jones is a proven, banned anabolic steroid taking cheat. a person who lacks morals to have done this once is likely to have done it many times throughout his career - truely sickenning :-(

2 - jones had a disgracefull glass mandible :-(

3 - real champions can fight in adversity, as soon as jones faced adversity he folded like a lawn chair :-(

4 - jones had no plan B, once plan A wasn't working, jones couldn't adapt :-(

5 - jones never beat a lineal or unified champion his whole career :-(
