    Holy crap!!!
Lemieux, Alvarez, and Benavidez jr is in a league of their own!
Each one of them CHAMPION material, not even blue chip prospect....

Lemieux has hidden, crushing power that hasnt been seen for a LOOONG time. Great mix of technique, timing, and power cranks it up to Mike Tyson's level. Ok, alot of his fights were local, but have you ever seen so many fighters take a knee from 1 shot? That means that hit was so hard that they couldnt even recover and do any stalling tactics. They were so overwelmed from the hit they had to just catch a literal break lol. Only person ive seen do that consistently was Mike Tyson.
Lemieux has an all-star coach who's raised him up to be a mini-me, and gave him solid fundamentals. But he still doesnt do a good job protecting his chin, and some of his fights showed that he can be an easy target for a good counter-puncher. Its gonna be that ONE counter-punch thats going to give him a 1 in his loss column.

Saul Alvarez - wow, this guy is just a pleasure to watch on TV. He does everything right and has the total package. Im not sure why he's got haterz and doubters in this forum in the past. He's got B+ at least in EVERYTHING - in physical abilities, technical abilities, durability/will, and slickness/timing, and ring maturity. Some say he's got a glass jaw cuz he got caught by Cotto's older brother (who is a pretty respectable fighter in his own right), but he recovered from that and won the fight. I would say that most would have failed in that situation, but somehow he persevered thru. Alvarez has good pop, puts his punches together phenomally, a very diversified puncher, a very intelligent puncher who knows how to use spacing and timing to strike cleanly. He is the total package....

Jose Benavidez jr. - ive only seen him a few times, but he's a MONSTER! He's one of those who will be an EXTREMELY physically dominant fighter in his weight class, like RJJ. But imagine if RJJ had strong fundamentals. Phenomenal amateur pedigree. Expect him to blow out B+ talent and division gatekeepers. He has A+ talent, athleticism, and abilities. Thats my impression of Jose Benavidez jr.

    i'd believe that too....

    Both punchers are..... Punchers.
Lemieux is a classic puncher with the standard linear/straight-in approach, and needs the opponent to stop moving before he feels comfortable to work off his power.
Canelo is a good bit more diversified than Lemieux is, has good footwork and attacks at angles, and has the ability to mix it up.
Both have GREAT TIMING in their punches. Timing is the speed equalizer. And power is the boxer equalizer. Dont under-estimate a puncher when they have great timing and spacing in their punches. Lemieux does come forward in too far and crowd's his punches. Canelo gives himself some good spacing and looks to strike towards the end of his range. Canelo has extremely under-rated ring intelligence....

Overall, i rate Canelo over Lemieux, cuz he's quite the complete package for a Puncher. Canelo will be a great champion in time.

Lemieux's uber straight right and left hook will probably get him a title one day. He's got great timing with those punches, and when one lands - its a staggering blow, opponent takes a knee, a knockdown, or its just a KO lol.....

    Canelo> B+ boxer
Lemieux= B+ boxer, he could lose by decision

who does lemieux remind you of? im thinking jake lemotta. he reminds me of a bull like jakes name sake. a hard hitting pressure fighter.
he has the looks and charisma to be a poster boy star aswell. but i still think like lemotta was with robinson he will be beaten by pure boxers.
