    Well I think i just realized that they are all actually wearing shorts under those that just look in color close to their skin



    Well at least for Tommy Burns thats the case. I was watching nice quality footage of him and Johnson and I noticed he was actually wearing white shorts under that underwear looking thing.


    Can anyone confirm or deny if this is the case for everyone like Corbett? It would be a big sigh of relief :lol:

    They didn't just look like they were wearing thongs - they WERE wearing thongs.
    Some preferred a loin cloth.

    Billy Papke was the worst culprit. His filmed fight with Ketchel is shocking.

    I think the Gans McGovern film had Terry wearing one if I recall.

    I wonder if a boxer can wear one today? Or would the modren rules stop such a thing lol.

    I think Corbett was the best known for such a outfit.

    I can't imagine some of the current corpulent heavyweights having to fight in thongs.
