    Super Champ = Super $.

That's all it comes down to - Super sanctioning fees!

But obviously yes, the super champ thing is ridiculous, just the WBA trying to make some money. Noone will consider the winner of the mooted Maidana fight to be champion.

I'd like to see a list of guys who've won WBA regular titles taken from fighters made Super Champions. Gotta be approaching the mid century mark now. These guys will all go in the history books as legit a world champ as Hearns, Leonard, Napoles, Hagler, Monzon...WBA is not only making a mockery of the sport, it's shitting on the sports great history and it's great champions of the past.

The 2 major evils in modern boxing are major fights not happening & the ridiculous amount of titles. So many sanctioning bodies, so many titles( regional, silver, diamond, super, super-emeritus & more to come) in the 27(?) different weight divisions. I know that every title fight generates a sanctioning fee but it will become so widespread that it will mean absolutely nothing so hold a title of any description. This nonsense is undermining the sport & its only gonna get worse.

McCloskey is ranked in the top 10 by the ring magazine....I think this is a good fight.

We need some super rich **** (Bill Gates?) to start a new boxing organization (or buy out Ring Magazine) and offer real money for its championships (like 10 mil minimum guaranteed for each title fight weight class winner). Little by little, all boxers would say "**** WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, IBO, etc" and line up for the 'Ring' title (or whatever it's called). And we'd finally go back to one champ per weight class. Figure this guy would need about 200 mil to kick things off properly. But then he could also push for regular networks for more coverage (BBC, NBC, etc.).

    Unfair critisism.

I don't see anyone dressing the fight up as something it isn't. Plus, Khan is coming off a fight where he beat a dangerous fighter when he could have been so easily flattened.

McCloskey is no mug, even if he is a clear level below Khan. People are okay to level a critisism against Khan but when he takes a fight to iron them out, before he fights Bradley, all of a sudden he is a "chump".
