Bernard Hopkins to be Profiled For Black History Month.

If you were going to have a boxer for Black History Month, Bernard Hopkins is a great choice.

He went to jail real young for burglary or whatever, and decided right then and there to turn his life around.

He didn't do so by being flashy, he didn't do so by getting lucky, he did so by training his body and more importantly his mind to achieve a level of physical/mental fitness beyond what you almost ever see in sports.

 

That story is great, and yes.. Bernard should be somewhat of a role model to the youth of America.

I totally disagree with that. Hopkins was once one of my boxing heroes because his turn from crime as a young teenager is actually a lot like my own. I was so bad that the FBI even sent beautiful vixen spies to my place of employment and even to a rehab for the final sting. One of the witches not only got me kicked out and thrown in the pin; she also broke my heart. heck she was even dating my probation officer's husband's brother--I actually beat both of those brother's arses and the probation officer (who literally tried to scratch my eyes out) but that is actually a totally unrelated story-if you can believe it.

Oh and get this. Several years later I decided I wanted to go into the Special Forces and things were looking up but guess who was sitting in my recruiters office one day. That same spy from work mentioned above. The recruiter then pulled out my police record that ran from above his head to the floor. That was it for my military life.
