What do you mean what Mistakes?

    No Training Camp is perfect.

If Amir said that he didn't feel right, then he didn't feel right.

Freddie isn't Amir. He can say the camp was great all he wants, and I don't actually think he did. I saw a video where he said the camp was too long.

3 rounds with Pacquiao isn't grueling? Right. Which is why Manny has stopped a lot of his sparring Partners in sparring sessions. 1 minute is grueling with Pacquiao, letalone doing an overall 20+ rounds with him over the course of the camp.

I'm not even suggesting Khan overtrained, but Darni has a point. Why have such a long camp? Along with that, Khan only had 10 pounds to lose over 12 weeks which is really nothing at all.

Roach is no god. He makes mistakes, along with Ariza.

long camps are usually to practice new techniques, roach has been in boxing too long to not know how to pace a fighter, roach says it was an excellent camp and it showed on fight night, thats what i'm sticking by.

EDIT: when wlad started training with steward they had 4-5months non stop training to completely change wlads style, it happens alot.

Training has different effects on different fighters, Alex has said it himself Khan trains harder than Manny.

Sometimes just because you can go that far does not mean its always good for you.

Then why did Roach suggest the camp was too long afterwards? (I'll try find the Video)

Roach isn't very clever on technique then, seeing as he admitted that he didn't teach Amir an ounce of Passive Defence for the fight

Your opinion, but no Camp is perfect.

roach requested to start training soon and roach did teach amir khan alot, if you watch the unedited pad work or listen to the other coaches in wild card they'll tell you roach and khan has spent many hours a day devising a gameplan to beat maidana.

I heard Alex say recently Khan only spends 1 1/2 hours with Roach a day, and the rest with him, unless Alex is talking ****.

I wonder when Roach will teach Khan how to fight on the inside a little bit to deal with some uncomfortable situations in a fight. He can't move laterally every second of every fight so at some point his opponent catches up. And that passive defense and positioning of the hands in that defense has got to improve.

thats with all of roach's or any top trainers fighters, they only overlook sparring and do padwork after that they're on their own to work the bags, jump rope, floor work etc.

it used to be eric brown who overlooked that but now ariza does.

tall fighters shouldn't attempt to fight on the inside much anyway, manny steward is the king of training tall fighters and he has them tie their opponents up when up close.

you really feel khan will bennefit under Manny?
If you was his advisor, this is where you would take him under right?

roach or manny are fine, wild card has better sparring, but in the early 90's kronk used to be what the wild card is now.

I am not saying he should become an inside fighter. What I am talking about is say after the 5th or 6th round, when Khan gets a little tired so he has to take some breathers. He would just stand there on the ropes and let Maidana hammer him. At these times you have to throw some of your own punches on the inside. How about that left (which Khan gets good leverage on) to the body? You have to throw something otherwise the other guy will wear you down and it looks horrible in front of the judges.
