The Navy has a history month for Yellows. I wanna say Asian-Pacific Islander heritage month is May. But it's so insultingly ignored that I just don't care to acknowledge it. If race is a social construct (as you say) then its real and it exists. Many products of culture are purely social constructs (e.g., money) that have real use and consequence in our lives. I suppose you meant to say that race has no biological/scientific validity. It depends what you mean by race and which scientists you ask. While the AAA (American Anthropological Association) is on record that race has no physical basis, this is not by any means a unanimous scientific opinion. There's no question that popular understanding of race is crude and inaccurate on the one hand, but on the other hand, there's also no question that there are average group differences on many physical and psychological traits that can be measured.
