He's about as good as he looks IMO.
Good but the right guy with the right game-plan can beat him.
Pacquiao's on another level that's why he beat Clottey & Cotto impressively.

Clottey lost all his big fights, that tells you how good the guy really is.

Yeah yeah yeah, you can say that about anyone. Oh Mayweather didn't have to fight Margarito and Cotto and Pac or Williams or anyone he should have because he would have beat them anyway. Typical internet forum bs. God this place is depressing sometimes.

He is too selective some nights he is great others he is total crap

his problem is he isnt aggressive enough or atleast doesnt sense his opponent is done and lets them off the hook

    2: Cotto
    3: Cotto
    4: Cotto
    5: Clottey
    6: Cotto
    7: Clottey
    8: Clottey
    9: Clottey
    10:Clottey
    11:Cotto
    12:Cotto

115-112 and I dont really think this was a difficult fight to score. The ONLY rounds that couldve went the other way than how I scored it were rounds 2 and 10, and I gave each fighter one of those rounds. Clottey doesnt jab enough and was simply not active enough to deal with the movement Cotto used in the last two rounds.

Cotto & Clottey are evenly matched I dont see what the problem is here. If you prefer Cotto as a fighter, thats great, his style is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but he isn't that MUCH better than Clottey, which some folks on here actually seem to believe. Neither guy is better than the other. It's a 50-50 fight every time.

Miguel Cotto is not a clean cut straight forward story...joshua clottey has never rised to the occasion and overcomed adversity...to say they are both in the exact same level is just BULL****....just because they didnt look good against eachother doesnt mean they are the same...you could say the same then for bradley/alexander,dlh/trinidad and many more...

Had clottey beaten pac we would be having a very different conversation now

Judah was one of Clottey's big fights and he won that one.

I was at the Cotto vs Clottey fight. It was a real good fight and Cotto won it.

Clottey has the ring IQ of a brick. He's a stupid fighter.

da ****s that got to do with the price of fish? :huh The point is whether a fighter earns respect and legacy from man-ing up and actually fighting the best opponents available in the ring, or whether its fine to just not bother on the grounds he 'would have beat them anyway', ergo Cotto has consistently fought and defeated a higher caliber of opponent than Mr Clottey.

    good fighter, excellent defense

but isnt determined, he wouldve beat both Margarito & Cotto if he wouldve stepped it up in the champ rounds
