ESPN : Hopkins-Pascal II HBO, May 21st. Dawson vs. Diaconu/Andrade?

Old man is crazy...but he can still fight. I hope he pulls this one out and makes history.

I thought they were pushing this from the very start, reluctantly on Pascal's team. So I'm not surprised at all.

Easier for Hopkins this time around. He already knows how to beat him no more adjustment rounds.

 

Great news. That's what I was hoping for.

 

I see the fight exactly like the first except:

a. Hopkins doesn't hit the canvas
b. Pascal wins a couple more rounds (essentially winning the rounds he was losing before the KD's)
c. Hopkins doesn't get hosed by a decision (unless, of course, the rematch is in Canada)

 

The rematch will be in Québec city.

 

The rematch was conditional to HBO buying it. Pascal-Hopkins 1 gave Showtime a very good audience, so HBO decided to steal the rematch. Dawson could do nothing about that. No HBO, no rematch.

I wasn't expecting this one.

All I have to say is thank you very much HBO for solving that little problem and letting the best fight happen...props.

 

Hopkins should retire and let the light heavyweight division develop. Bernard fighting a guy who is not that great and whom Bernard can probably outpoint means nothing. If Bernard wins a decision next time will it matter?
