That's been vacant every since Vernon Forrest passed, the WBC is bs at it's finest, Pac never deserved to even be called a 154lb champion, the World Boxing Council pulled that title out their ass, they may as well give the winner of Pac-Mosley the WBC Heavy Weight Championship, sure neither has fought there but so what, these belts are meaningless starps of leather.
The ABC's undermine themselves and the legitimacy of their so-called 'champions'. Patronizing, in fact.
First, Canelo is a WW and has a WW fight coming up. Second, Chavez, Jr is a MW who is going to be fighting for the MW title. Third, Margarito?? Also, one poster unless being sarcastic said that Pac is avoiding a fight with Canelo? Leave that kid alone. His time will come and he will shine as a WW champ first. Let the two top available contenders fight for it.
If Canelo is in line to fight for the title, if he doesn't fight either Afredo Angulo, Paul Williams or even Kermit Cintron, we all know it's utter bull****, hell he sould even fight Vanes Martirosyan.
Wow, ranked number one at 154 (WBC), number four at 147 (WBA), and number three at 147 (WBO). By the way, Vanes vs Canelo would be a good fight if indeed Canelo opts to move up instead of fighting for a title at 147 first. Maybe later on fight Trout to avenge his brother's loss.
Canelo hasn't even fought at WW for his past 2-3 fights if I'm not mistaken. I always hear him touted as a WW but he always fights at 150. The Matt Hatton fight is actually at 147? Amazing. Marg just got his face rearranged, I'm not saying the WBC is credible but I don't think they'll let him jump right back into challenging for the world title. I wouldn't be surprised if he lost his WBC International JrMW belt when Pac beat him, that's what put him in line to fight Pac. That and Arum flashing cash. PWill just got crushed against Martinez challenging for the WBC MW and he's not NEARLY Mexican enough to get a straight challenge at the JrMW. Plus I don't think he's ever held a WBC if i'm not mistaken. Angulo could probably fight in Mexico since his immigration issues are in the US but I don't know if his promoter put his career on hold until the issue got sorted out or not. Cintron could be a marketable fight against Canelo. He might be the best option but they'd have to surround the ring in a moonbounce just to make sure he doesn't get hurt again.
