You don't have to be a pro boxer, hall of famer or not, to know Floyd is scared of Pac.

Even ***** sports reporters have come out and said it:

HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg released a four-paragraph, five-sentence statement Monday which cast doubt upon the veracity of Floyd Mayweather Jr.; Mayweather’s best friend, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe; Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer and which forever eliminated any doubt about Mayweather’s intention:

I would like to know what Pac's gameplan would be against Floyd? If his gameplan is to be relentless and offensive against Floyd, then surely he will lose.

If Marquez can stun Pacman then certainly Floyd can. This coming from a diehard *******. It's ignorant to think that he "can't" hurt Pacquiao, though it certainly won't be easy for either fighter.

the punch that knocks you out is the one you don't see therefore floyd is a lot more quicker than cotto, clottey and margarito but i still don't know who would win between both cause neither guy has faced one as each other

floyd has decent pop, but he wont hurt manny throwing 1 shot at a time, which is what he would do.

The key really is what kind of angles he can get Manny into.

Manny likes to rush in, without much regard for where he'll ultimately be setting his feet. That isn't to say he is a dumb fighter or doesn't have any footwork...just that he usually acts and reacts on the fly rather than thinking steps ahead.

Floyd will be looking to lure Manny in and set traps...at which he is very adept. Manny with his style and temperament is certain to oblige. Floyd with his quick reflexes will certainly be able to get clean looks at Manny after dodging the rushes and leaving Manny at a disadvantageous angle, where Floyd can hit him but Manny really isn't squared up to hit him.

There will be more than a few of these moments throughout the fight. The question is how Floyd will exploit them. If he really puts his all into his shots during these moments when he has Manny twisted up, it could be the first time a sharp offensive technician has really put some good leverage on Manny's chin in a long time (since Marquez, arguably). The problem for Floyd is that to really do damage he'll have to give up his advantageous position a bit by digging in his heels and really throwing a lot behind these shots (and bunch them up)...which of course opens him back up and some might say defeats the purpose of setting these traps to create pot-shot opportunities...

So it all depends on whether Floyd wants to prance or take a chance...and we won't know that until he's there in the moment in the biggest fight of his life.

If Marquez can wobble the **** out of Pac's head consistently throughout 24 rounds, imagine what Floyd can do with his more precise, purer punches. Having said that, Floyd's offense is minimal, and he would have to raise his work-rate to keep Pac off him, which is where he will find a lot of trouble. Out of range, Floyd got it, Mid range, Pac got it, Inside game goes to Floyd. Pac murks Floyd from mid-range in my opinion
