Well at least he won 7 fights in a row, and has to fight an eliminator...
Wiith some alphabets you can lose 4 of your last 7 (with the 3 wins against journeymen) and be #1 HW contender

hope eddie gives him a lession again. Its an eliminator yeah yeah yeah but doesnt mean if he wins he gets wlad asap lol. If he does win he will have to stay active for at least a year etc.. which a top 20 guy will wanta face him and the IBF will make him etc... Just like i seen on the fight channel sam peter vs maurice Harrs for WBC eliminator Wont happen but boxing does soem stupid ****

I've never rated Rossy and don't regard even his "new and improved" self to be a serious contender...but, he has worked his way back into contention by today's low standards. He's been winning and improving, which is all you can ask.

That said, Fast Eddie will stop him again. :yep

Again, he is nothing special - but one should be more than a little ashamed to trumpet not even knowing his name in a community of boxing fans. Ignorance is nothing to boast of.

 

hes american and white (not to be bias).... hes from long island new york thats the only reason, america has no heavyweights anymore

He was hyped up as a TV attraction back when he was undefeated, as a harbinger of "big athletic guys returning to the fold, crossing over into boxing from other sports like football". He was one of the "up and coming American heavies" along with Arreola, but he was the one actually projected to climb higher because of his sporting pedigree.

Having said that...

As old as Mercer was, that was a very unexpected win for Rossy (who was supposed to be KO fodder) and a nice little upset in his win column...and he has been taking the fight game seriously since his losses and fine tuning his limited skills.

 

so who does the winner get to fight??

 

**** division when you got guys like Rahman, Mormeck, and Rossy getting thrown into world title eliminator's...

 

I'm not crazy about the idea of any of them being in eliminators, but they were hardly thrown in. They've been winning, and chipping their way into the rankings.

The problem is that there's nobody in their way. There isn't that B-level buffer of contenders who are good enough to clear the field of these guys.

There are the champs, and then there are the chumps.
