WTF are you singling out Eddie for? It's 10,000 times better than Arreola having been in the top ten.

I agree with that logic, one year inactive and off the top 10 you go.

The hardest fighters on the list to rank are the ones that haven't lost yet. It could be argued that they haven't lost because they only fought soft competition & they've yet to be really tested, but they are still the real unknown commodity here.

Chisora is down about number 40 imo.

See ya point ib about valuev being inactive, only just clicked that he hasn't fought since the haye loss has he?

I was really hoping to see adamek vs valuev before a wlad fight but oh well. Also waited a long long time to see valuev vs either brother :-(

    You swear?

What was the top 10 when Marciano or Tyson was champ?

Eddie Chambers is a very good boxer with only 2 losses, one controversial to Povetkin, who's undefeated.

Chambers is definitely a top ten. Wins over brock, peter and dmitrenko. A very close loss to povetkin and a routine pasting off wlad. Just wish he'd turn up in shape for once!

You don't have to be an Adamek hugger to figure out he belongs in the top 5 and probably in front of Povetkin.

It's no worse than just about any other time in it's history.

After more thought I think the point of the untested boytsov up that high might be a little hopeful rather than actual and then you have thr inactive valuev, who could be dropped off the list for inactivity.

Finally you have dimitrenko up there and he is very borderline. My list would look more like this

    1. Wlad
    2. vitali
    3. haye
    4. povetkin
    5.chagaev
    6. chambers (tied with adamek these are interchangeable)
    7. adamek
    8. Thompson
    9. Solis
    10. Boytsov

I like adamek. He's a very worthy contender to any beltholder. But I win over a fat areola doesn't put you in the top 5. Puts you in the top ten, but not the five imo. He'd have had to have beaten another top ten guy also like chambers, thompson, chagaev, povetkin, valuev etc. instead of beating the likes of grant etc.

As I say, worthy challenger but not who i'd consider one of the top 5 heavyweights. I wouldn't make him a clear favourite over anyone in my top ten.

The real problem is that most of the top contenders don't fight each other.

We should see Povetkin vs. Boytsov

Somebody's "0" has to go. It would bring legitimacy to the winner's higher ranking.

I totally agree with Lufcrazy here. You have to respect Adamek, the guy is great for boxing. But, the fact is anyone in the top ten on my list has a good chance of beating him.

I like him in the 6 or 7 spot.

Very good list. I take the point of valuev being inactive. It is a long time since he's fought.

Thanks, the only consideration I would make is having solis ahead of thompson, which is an ability based ranking not a resume based ranking, and the chambers/adamek being in either spot. Other than that I feel pretty solid on this listing.
