That's the problem with the division, not it's weakness but it's lack of big fights. I mean apart from chambers, no contenders really take on top ten rated guys. If you look at the last opponents it's a shocking list.

    Pov fought a bum
    Chag fought meehan
    Chambers is fighting rossy
    Adamek fought maddalone
    Thompson is fighting bums
    Solis fought austin
    Boystov fought a bum

It's a list of who not to fight really. Haye's defence is probably the first all top ten fight in ages, soon to be followed by wlad v adamek and in most people's eyes vitali vs solis.

But you put Haye at #3 when all his opponents were 50 years old!

Yeah my ranking of solis is purely on ability, he hasn't achieved too much as of yet.

Chambers - adamek would be great to see. A real 50/50 fight!

Ofcourse former champ peter would be right back up there with a string of low key kayo victories.

It's amazing. I consider myself a boxing fan, but I couldn't pick half those guys out of a lineup. Maybe they're good, maybe they suck. But until they get on American tv, I'll never know.

Maybe Showtime should do an 8 man single elimination tourney to bring some attention back. Leave out the Klits and Valuev and let the division straighten itself out.

    5. Adamek
    6. Povetkin

    10. Boytsov

at least right now it does but if you asked me tomorrow it'd probably be different.............

Ranking the guys 11-20 i would find to be a much more troubling and difficult task. I would like to see someone take a stab at 11-20.

Unjust or not, his wins over valuev and ruiz where both wins over top ten opposition.

Plus, again unjust or not, he is a beltholder. A win over povetkin would remove any doubts imo.

Anyways your boy has a chance to go top of the pile! I'll be rooting for him!

Adamek ranking is difficult. one the one hand he was lhw and crusier champ and has beaten arreola. But, Povetkin has a so much stronger heavyweight resume. Even in his early fights Povetkin took on some fairly tough guys. I cannot rank Adamek above povetkin on my HW list for those reasons however I dont have any problem with people who do.

11-20 is so tough. There are so many guys between 11-40 who you wouldn't really wanna pick between them. For instance tyson fury vs dmitrenko. One guy seen as concensus top twenty, the other an unproven englishman.

But I wouldn't at all be surprised to see fury win.

I think the top 9 boxers are well established. But after that it is pretty much whoever you've seen the most of. Noone stands out.

No no, I was listing the contenders, not the titlists.

Briggs, harrison were both terribly low ranked contenders. Peter might have edged his way back into the top ten by beating aguilera i'm not sure.

I do get your point though, Haye is ranked #3 on my list based on accomplishments. He does have the fake WBA belt. Wladimir already beat Chagaev for the real one.;)

    That's fair

I can't understand why we don't get good fights from the lower ranks guys like Arreola vs. Tua. That fight could be huge but instead each guy fights guy with absolutely no chance of winning. I mean a guy you never even heard of and they'll make it Pay Per View :patsch
