You may have missed it, but he did get in the ring with Vitali. And when he did he busted him up to the point where he was hardly recognizable. You should watch that fight, you may enjoy it.
You do watch boxing I take it? Cause it doesn't sound like it. The better fighter isn't the one who's ahead on cards when a fight is stopped, it's the one who did the stopping. Boxing isn't knitting, when a punch lands and it cuts you and the ref doesn't say boo about it, guess what, you've been hurt, and if you can't rebound from that, too ****ing bad, suck it up and find away to win or accept the loss. You klitschko fans really are pussies, they were in a FIGHT, for fs do you expect them both to be at 100% when the fight is over..of course not, Vitali wasn't at 100% because Lewis inflicted damage by punching him, how god damn hard is that to understand? It's boxing for fs, if you can't deal with your favourite fighter loosing then perhaps you need to find another sport. I've been watching boxing for over 30 years and I've never seen such a punch of pussies when it comes to accepting an outcome. For a short while I actually had hope for you that you'd be a little more intelligent than bremen, who's the laughing stock of this site. Sadly I'm mistaken.
Interesting question, it's hard to argue with people who doesn't seem to understand the basic rules of boxing..and can't accept an outcome which really wasn't all that contriversal if you've been watching boxing for any length of time. We've all seen decisions which are far, far more contriversal than the outcome of this fight was.
Your an idiot. Okay even if it was caused by a thumb..boo ****ing hoo..Vitali still had multiple rounds before the fight was stopped. The cut was in the third, the fight was stopped after the 6th. that's 3 rounds +, to do have gotten him out of there. And it wasn't as if his corner wouldn't have been telling him, "look man this is a nasty cut and they could stop the fight at anytime, go out there and knock him out" This would have been repeated over and over again. And what did Vitali do, he just took more punishment that's what he did..finally about 2-3 rounds longer than it should have went, the ref stopped it on the advise of the doctor. That's called boxing.
Why does it matter whether it was a thumb or not? We aren't talking about him being gouged or anything like that, it was a cut. It's completely irrelevant what part of the glove it was.
Basically which one is your most favorite one out the 5 I listed. I know he had many more KO's than against other great opposition, but those fives are the ones that stand out to me. I didn't particularly take any pleasure out of the Tyson and Riddick Bowe KO's because they are one of my favorite fighters, (but so is Lewis) that's why I left them out.
Tough call but I went with Rahman. I think it takes a special fighter, with a lot of guts, to get back in the ring with someone who knocked you out and return the favour. The vast majority of the time this doesn't happen and Lewis did it in spectacular fashion. That said I must admit I wasn't a fan of Rahman's defense, where he simply held his hands out wtf was that?
That's because you know **** about boxing. Thumbing is an illegal punch. If it caused the injury and the fight was later stopped because of it it should have gone to scorecards. That's called boxing.
It wasn't thumbing you ******ed ****... i boxed for years and have never heard of such bollocks in all my life... the injury was caused by a glove after a punch had been thrown... it is ****ing irrelevant what part of the glove hit Vitalis eye, it was a punch. It wasn't caused by gauging at the eye, or by a headbutt, it was caused by a punch which makes it a legitimate TKO. Vitali had won the first 4 rounds and lost the last 2 prior to the stoppage so was hardly on the verge of winning... he had another 6 rounds to go and spent most of the 6th clinging on for dear life while Lewis battered him with big right hands. Vitali did well, Lewis started slowly and was clearly out of shape, he had no foot movement, speed or balance and that was ****ing obvious... Vitali started fast, won the first 4 rounds but got cut to ribbons and busted up in rounds 5-6 once he slowed down... get over it you ******... shits getting old
Thumbing is mainly done in the clinch when you rub your glove and thumb into the eye. Not one a full on staight right hand you ******ed ****. You think Lewis threw a straight right with his thumb out to get Vitali in the eye? Are you that ******ed?
